9. Grace and the Dragon

244 35 35

All alone in his lair,
Lay the dragon in despair.
With no one near him,
Neither friend nor foe,
Till his eyes grew dim.

Then Grace found the dragon.
She sounded the ancient gong,
And chimed the tune to set him free.
The notes he lacked were finally sung
She found the missing key.

This poem may not make much sense so I'll tell you a bit about it. I drew a picture of a dragon and
and a girl in my sketch book a long time ago and then when I looked at it again I got an idea for a story about a dragon who has been captured in his lair for over a hundred years and is finally set free by a little girl named Grace. Since I had to write a summary to remember it when I finally get around to writing it, I decided to be creative and make a poem about it.
I tried to write a poem about the sky for ember-firefly, but after scribbling in a notebook for over a week I gave up - hopefully I'll manage to come up with something eventually.
Happy new year, I'd really appreciate it I you could give my poem a vote and tell me what you think of it.
