1. The Weeping Willow

617 66 57

She sits there idly by the water,
Pondering over her fate.
All she sees day and night
Is sorrow, sorrow sad and melancholy.

Whether it be a good day or a bad day
She only sees the bad
Weeping with her pain,
Pain over the whole world.

I tried to comfort her,
As I sat on one of her boughs
One misty dreary day.
But the grieving lady
refused to be comforted.

Maybe one day she will see
That not all in this world
Is a pain to the eye
And happy she will be.
