14: Oh! Not Ready Yet

Start from the beginning

"Can I get a kiss?"

I gave him a peck on the lips which turned into more kissing, even more kissing. At this point, I don't care who's watching. Finally, we took a break for some air. I took that as a chance to open my locker. The locker door flung open, a rose and letter dropped. It read,

               "Open at home.. "

I'm opening this at home for sure.

"I got to get going miss."

"Bye, ain't nobody stopping you."

"Yeah, okay."

We kissed one last time and he left.

"I saw you and Mr. Badboy over there making out, you giving him some cookies?"

"Uh, no, not yet."

"Smoothie time." she pulled my arm and ran to my car. She's always down for a smoothie or any treat period.

We ordered two smoothies. I had strawberries with bananas and she had peach with mangos. It was pretty good. Hanging out with her feel like I can let my hair down.

Time check, it was time to go. Time really flies by when your actually having fun.

We arrived to her house, still looks the same as before. Her mom wasn't here, that sucks.

"Hey, want to see something?"

"Sure."

We went to her room and she went to this secret hidden door, there was a gigantic book inside.

"You sure you want to see?"she sounded as if this could mean something to me.

"Yeah, what is it?"

The first page had said, 'Memories'. Memories about what? She flipped to the second page and it had my name on it. She kept flipping through the pictures and it was me, my mom, and I'm guessing my dad.

"How did you get these?"

"I keep a lot of memories, even though my mom had them for so long. She said someone dropped it off one day and she kept it ever since."

I have to say, my dad was a good looking man. Looking at these pictures made me regret a lot. I've talked and talked about having privacy for so long but, I didn't expect it to come so soon.

"Thanks for showing me this."

"Anytime."

"Yeah, let us get this party started and I hope Jay don't try to find me."

"Why you say that? He stalking you?"a confusing look was presented on her face.

"Girl, no. It's just that he comes to my window at night."

"Welp."

~week later~

The week past, guess it's time to head home. I left Ashley and headed home. On my phone were several miss calls from the lady I call mother. What could she possibly want?

Home sweet miserably home, it's not even my home anymore.

"Crystal? Where have you been? I was worried sick."

"I spent the week at a friend's house."

"Without confirming it with me?"

"Listen, you haven't been there for me. My friend was, you just popped out of nowhere."

I didn't realize what I was saying.

"Excuse me?"

"Don't act innocent right now. I'm about to leave for college soon, all you did was be in my life for a second. You left me stranded because you was scared. Seemed like you already had forgotten me be-" I was cutoff by her.

"Crystal!"

"Don't cut my off Diana, you left me. You let Dad die, you created a new family. You didn't even care to check on me through the years!"

"That's not true!"here comes the water works.

"That is the truth and you know it! You just think you can come and run things! Moving into my house, giving out bullshit rules!"

*SMACK*

She smacked me, across my face.

"And how can I forget, abuse." I was rubbing my face.

She pushed me, kicked me, slapped me a few times and I did nothing. I sat there lifelessly. I waited until I got the strength to get up and go to my room. I just laid in bed thinking. Icing my pain that will turn into bruises. I wished she was dead instead of my dad. Rest up Dad.
