"Luna October?" Beta Turner asked.
I faced him.
"Yes?" I asked.
He handed me an envelope. I took it.
"You should read this. I need your permission to tell Alpha." Beta Turner said.
I opened it.
"Dear, October...
You think you can outrun your true mate?
You think you can outrun your own powers?
Your own wolf?
I have got eyes everywhere.
I've been watching you.
And you're mine...

I looked up at Beta Turner.
"Show this to Alpha Ke'Yon. Immediately." I said.
"Yes, Luna." He said.
And with that, he left.
"My true mate?" I asked.
"Ke'Yon is our true mate. Not anybody else. This person's fucking with the wrong pack, bruh." Liam said.
"I agree." I said.
I sighed heavily. Now I'm a big target to someone. This person's probably claiming that I'm their 'true' mate for my Black Magic. That almost always seems to happen. Being a rare orange wolf doesn't help the situation any. A gust of wind blows by and another letter hits my arm. I turn around and open it.
"Dear My October,
Good idea getting Alpha Ke'Yon involved.
I knew he would come to your rescue.
I think it was so brave how you killed yourself for your mate and your pack.
You know?
With the whole silver chain covered in Wolfsbane thing.
God,
Your ex Alpha was stupid.
Stupid I tell you.

Okay. At least they were stupid enough to tell me their first names. Problem is, I don't even know if those are their real names. They could be fake aliases. You know the ones that some villains in your average TV show or comic book use? Yeah. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped and screamed. Three guards rushed in.
"Luna! What's wrong?" Guard Tommy shouted.
He paused.
"Oh, hi Alpha." Guard Tommy said.
"Hi." Alpha Ke'Yon said.
I shook my head. These people...
"You got another letter?" Alpha Ke'Yon asked.
"Mhm." I said, handing it to him.
"His name is November? And his brother's name is September?" Alpha Ke'Yon asked.
"Yep. Beta Turner!" I shouted.
He jogged in, out of breath. He must've been out for a run.
"Yes, Luna. Afternoon, Alpha." Beta Turner said.
"Find out everything you can on a November and September. The anonymous people from the letters told me their names." I said.
"November and September?" Beta Turner asked.
"Yes." I said.
I let him read the note.
"Do they have other brothers for all the other months? Don't want to leave December and January out now." Beta Turner said.
"Beta Turner!" I shouted.
His amused expression turned serious pretty damn fast.
"Sorry." He said.
I sighed and facepalmed myself.
"Look... They said they're watching. So can we not make fun of them? I don't want them getting pissed off and doing something stupid to all of us." I said.
"Oh. Sorry, Luna. Didn't think of it that way." Beta Turner said.
"Oh, believe me, I know." I said.
I rubbed my temples. This is all giving me a headache.
"I figured that out." I said.
"I'll search to everyone's content." Beta Turner said.
"And Beta Turner?" I asked.
He looked at me.
"Don't speak of this to the rest of the pack. Not yet." I said.
"As you wish, Luna." He said.
He left the room.
I turned to Alpha Ke'Yon.
"I love it when you take control like that, baby." Alpha Ke'Yon said.
I rolled my eyes.
"I don't like doing it." I said.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Well, I was bossed around growing up until I came here. Granted I was an Omega but still. And I don't want to boss other people around because I know they don't like it. And neither did I. So I'm basically treating them like how I was treated. Just minus the rape and abuse part. I would never hurt someone. I couldn't." I said.
Alpha Ke'Yon nodded, understanding.
"That was funny though." Liam said.
"What was?" I asked.
"Do they have brothers for all the other months. Don't want to leave December and January out now." Liam said, quoting Beta Turner.
I sighed.
"Can you stop with that?" I snapped.
"Sorry." He said.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you. It's just, I don't know what to make of this." I said.
"It's okay, I still love ya. And me neither." Liam said.
"Love ya too, bro." I said.
"Talking to Liam?" Alpha Ke'Yon asked.
"Mhm." I said.
"What's he say?" He asked.
"Just repeating that stupid joke that I yelled at Beta Turner for." I said.
"Ah." Alpha Ke'Yon said, understand and nodding.
This is going to be a long journey...
Let's hope September and November will do no harm to my mate, myself, or my pack.
Or else they'll be hell to pay...
And it'll be delivered by yours truly.
