Little Somethings was a small retail store; a boutique really. They sold clothes that were not entirely up to the current trends, but still remained popular. It was merely a small store on the side of the highway in a more residential area.
The owner of the store, an older woman, took kindly to the younger customers and Diana was no exception.
"Hello, deary!"
"Hi, Mel."
"What can I help you with?"
Diana noticed that her help wanted sign had been taken down, but figured that she would ask anyways, " I applied to work here. I just wanted to know if the job was still available."
"I'm sorry deary, but I ended up filling the position. I needed a strong boy to help me move things in back."
"Okay. Thank you anyways."
Diana assured herself that it was for the best not to get the job and left it at that. She exited the shop and started towards the mall where the last two places she'd applied to were.
