Itami pov
"Come on,"Sabo said."Let's get back.."
Sabo took off his jacket, and placed it on my shoulders. I grabbed his hand, making him stop.
"Itami-chan?"
I looked up from the ground."Sabo-kun...I'm sorry for acting like that before. It's just....after everything that's happened over 3 years, I still cannot shake away my sadness. Although there ware some days where I forget about the war, Ace is always there, in my mind. He always protected me, it was like he was driven to let me live. But sometimes I forgot to appreciate that. Sabo-kun, this is a request that I rarely ask for to anybody. My request is.....to protect me till the day I die. I don't care if we're gonna be separated soon, just.....be there."I said
"Well that was sudden."
He smiled."I never intended on leaving you alone anyway, I'll always take care of you."
We carried on walking. My heart felt weird, it felt heavy & was beating fast. At first I thought I was having a heart attack, but it definitely wasn't that.
"You're falling for him, Itami. Don't deny it. You & I both know what this feeling is." Kira said
No shut up. I'm not falling for him! I'm just-
"Just what? Cut the bullcrap & just admit it. You are falling for Sabo. Yes I know that you're still sad & mopey about Ace's death, but he wouldn't want to see you like this. He'd want you to move on, and find someone else. I know that because after being inside you for your whole life, I learnt how to watch your life through yours & my eyes. Ace would want you to move on. Just go for him!"
I know what you're saying....I just....don't know how to move on.
"Itami? Are you okay? It looks like you're having a battle with yourself."Sabo said
"I'm fine..I just need some water, that's all."I said
"Okay, there might be some water in the ship."Sabo said
"Thanks, Sabo-kun."
*later that night*
I sat on my bed, hugging my knees. I looked down at my Opal wedding ring with tear brimmed eyes.
"A wife, huh?"I sighed
*flashback*
"When I get back, we're getting married!"Ace said
With a happy smile, I said:"Y-yes!"
*flashback end*
I sighed & changed into the pajamas that Koala gave me. I got into bed, and fell asleep.
*Dream*
Everything around me was surrounded by gold. It felt nice & warm. But strangely enough, it didn't feel like a dream. It felt more like this was in the real world, where I can control myself.
"Itami.....I've missed you."
My eyes went wide, instantly recognizing that voice. I turned & gasped, seeing Ace in front of me.
"Ace..."I whispered
"Ace!!!"
I ran over to him & tackled him. He gasped but hugged me back. I was already crying tears of joy.
"Its you! Ace...oh Ace....*sob* you're-"
"Itami...I've missed you so much. Heaven is lonely without you."Ace says
"You got to heaven! Oh that's great! But....Ace, I miss you so much. And I met your brother Sabo."I said
He smiled."Speaking of which, I need to talk to you about...stuff."
"Stuff?"I asked
We sat down on a bed. All of a sudden our surroundings changed into his bedroom at the Moby Dick.
"What's wrong Ace?"I asked
He sighed."I know that you've been mourning & crying for me. But you & I both know, that I'm not coming back." Ace said.
"I know but....I just want to see you again, but I don't have the power of bringing back the dead or to reincarnate you. But I...I really miss you, and I'm trying not to be sad, but I don't know how to be ok."I cried
Ace petted me."I know, I know. I miss you too. I miss your voice, your beauty, your personality, your eyes, your cooking, your singing...I miss all of you."
After what felt like centuries, Ace cupped my face, and kissed me. It felt like it was a first time in a long time since I've kissed Ace. He still tasted like ripe summer apples, the way he kissed me still hasn't changed either.
I snaked my hands into his black silky locks, the feeling of his hair in my fingertips both foreign & comfortable. I felt his tongue slide along my lip, asking for entry. I decided to be mean & kept my mouth shut firmly. Growling hungrily, he grabbed my butt & squeezed, making me gasp & open my mouth.
I lightly moaned, and wrapped my legs around Ace. We were now on the bed, and I just felt amazing.
We had a tongue war with each other, trying to force each other to give up, and allow the other to roam their territory. I tugged on Ace's hair when I lost the war. He gently roamed inside my mouth, trying to be soft on me.
After a while, we pulled away & had our foreheads leaning on each other.
"I've been saving that for you.."Ace panted
I smile."Thanks....it was amazing."
"Itami, since you're going to wake up soon, I need you to promise me something."Ace said
"What's the promise?"I asked
"I need you to be strong for me, I need you to move on, and love Sabo. I know that its going to be hard, but I don't like seeing you unhappy."Ace said
"But...we're married."I said
"I know, but please Itami...I need you to do it, to save yourself from sadness & a dark place. I know that he'll be able to love & take care of you the sane way I did. Please...."Ace begged
"Okay.....I will, I'll try."I said
With one final kiss, Ace & the dream slowly disentegrated.
