I chuckled and watched her jump back over the counter. "The usual amount right?" she asked.

"Actually I'm going to need a bit extra and a small hideable gun." I replied earning a confused look. "I brought my niece, she's waiting out front."

"Bring her in then!" Wendy bellowed. "I've been dying to meet Mabel's little tyke."

I nodded. "Alright just get my order and I'll bring her in. I walked back to the entrance to see a crowd has gathered and cornered Marmibelle where she stood. The poor girl was desperately trying to hold firm to her facade.
"Marmibelle." I called catching attention. "Come on in there's a friend you should meet."

Marmi's walk was an almost failed attempt to be cold shouldered to the ones that watched her.
I put my arm around her to help her calm down. "You don't have to try to be me Marmi." I murmured. "It's your first visit."

She released a grateful breath. "It's hard to be brave like you."

I chuckled. "Well most of the townspeople don't like me as of currently but they respect me in some way or other. You're new to them."

"Well I wouldn't say most didn't like you but they definitely don't appreciate that your uncle Ford held a time rift that opened a door from another dimension." Wendy spoke setting small pouches on the countertop. Her green eyes rested on Marmibelle. "So at last I get the pleasure of meeting Mabel's little girl."

Marmi lowered her head shyly. I nudged her forward gently. "It's okay Wendy won't bite." I said raising a curious brow to the redhead.
She scowled at me. "You're just going to make it worse Pines." She turned her attention back the the younger girl. "Hey hon, your uncle here told me you need a gun you can handle."

Marmi lifted her head, eyes sparkling. "I can have a gun?" she asked to me.
I shrugged. "It's about time you learned to handle a long range weapon. Can't fight a hell animal with only a silver knife."

Wendy pulled out a small uncovered box. "Pick your new best friend dear. Then you can come around back for some lessons." The redhead placed the box in front of her.
Marmi looked into the box like a five year old looking into a crate of candy.

She picked up and examined them one by one. As she went on I turned to Wendy, "Can you watch her while I get the other necessities?"
She nodded, "I'll hold on to your order until you get back". I thanked her and walked out of the shop, dispersing the crowd that still gathered out front.

Listing of things from the list to myself I got what was need for us to survive. On my way back to Wendy's I was stopped by an irritating citizen.

"Well if it isn't little Dipper Pines." Robbie sneered. "You know you shouldn't be here."

I rolled my eyes and continued walking. He wasn't worth my attention.
But he wasn't letting me off either. "How come only you of your family got to live?"

"I don't have time for this Robbie." I muttered to the annoyance.

The former gothboy just followed me. Then he thought of something clever. "Who is that girl you walked into town with?" he asked leaning close over my shoulder. "She is real pretty. Maybe she'd stay with me-"

I silenced him by grabbing his throat then gave him a fierce glare. "Lay one look on Marmibelle and I promise she will be the last thing you will see." I snarled out lowly then dropped him to the crumbling concrete. Quickly turning chicken, Robbie ran off.
I continued on my way and made it back without further disruption.

The front was clear of people as was the inside of the shop. But there was gunfire coming from the back.

I found the ladies in the target arena aiming at moving targets. Wendy with her shotgun shooting the pelt covered dummies and Marmi with twin calibers.
