Daniel's POV

I was in Jaylan's room holding her hand like I've been for the past 2 days. By now I've lost so much hope but I'm keeping my head up

"10 more minutes before it goes off." A doctor told me. 10 more minutes...Jaylan please.

I knew that Joshua was with Anastasia and Travis didn't didn't come the second day but he's here now with Naomi.

'Any movement with them?'
'No.' They both replied.

I gently put my hand onto of Jaylan's and held it tight.

"I remember when I almost lost you at the party with some douche, I remember the look of your face when you realized I was your mate.... you looked-"

"Shocked. I was shocked...but glad." I look over at Jaylan as she smiled. My eyes widened as I wiped my tears.

"Jaylan I-"

"I love you too, Daniel. I always have and always will." I hugged her in a gentle embrace.

"I'll go get the doctor"

"No, I'm fine. I need to go see Naomi and Anastasia." I nodded and took her to Naomi's room only to have both of us surprised.

Joshua and Anastasia stood there holding each other.

Travis was hugging Naomi in his arms, well that was until the girls saw Jaylan and ran to her.

They all cried hugging each other and wiping each other's tears.

"Your such girls" I said.

"Oh shut up you were crying just now" Jaylan shot back. God. I missed her.

Joshua and Travis started laughing.

"I don't know why your laughing Travis, we have a lot to talk about" Naomi said cracking her knuckles.

"Ah..." He looked away laughing awkwardly.

"Joshua you were crying more than us combined" Anastasia said laughing

"What happened to not telling anyone!" He glared at her and she shrugged her shoulders.

This, was my family.

* 1 year later *

Naomi's POV

"Jaylan you need help in the kitchen?"

"No you burn all food"

"What no I don't"

"Yes you do Naomi"

"Shut up Anastasia you can't even set the table right"

"This isn't the right way?!"

"Y-your so dumb" I busted out laughing and so did Jaylan.

"You guys need help?"

"Yes natalie please help Anastasia"

"Naomi what are you doing?"

"Natalie. I'm guarding my cupcake." Your stupid brother stays eating my food. They all laughed.

"Were home."

"Oh boy." The four idiots were home.

"Something smells good." Daniel said.

"I guess Naomi isn't cooking then." I glared at Travis who was laughing with the boys.

"Naomi can you come here for a second?" I got up to help Jaylan with the food when I completely forgot about the cupcake.

I turned to see Travis eating it and I fell to my knees. This tall, handsome fatty ate my cupcake. He started laughing. Tsk.

"We came too!" We opened the door to see maxwell, Matthew, and Olivia.

"The happy family has arrived." I said holding matthew and greeting maxwell and olivia.

The food was now ready and on the table so we sat down.

Jaylan with Daniel

Anastasia with Joshua

Natalie with Austin

Oliva with Maxwell

The twins and Jack

And finally, Me with Travis

I looked at them and smiled. We've been through a lot together but there was no denying that we were family. I even got Travis to let the outcast join our pack again along with Maxwell and Matthew. I didn't know how we lived but I honestly thank the moon goddess and the light.

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!" I yelled picking up my glass.

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING" they yelled back.

This, is what I call the true meaning of love.
