Chapter 39

Emily's P.O.V.

-We should get going - I said to Luke

-Yeah - he replied

We got up and left the roof top . We walked hand in hand to my house , we arrived at my place and i opened the door . It's a little cold outside so i decided to change from my black crop top to a bordeaux long sleeve .

Luke was looking himself in the mirror and he was trying to fix his air .

-My hair looks shit - he pouted

-Awww poor you - I said sarcastically

-Rude - Luke said with a smile forming on his lips

-You love me - I said

Luke frowned - Not really

I fake gasped .

-You dick ! - I exclaimed

He smiled and picked me up by my waist spinning me around .

He put me down and kissed every inch of my face , with every kiss he said "i love you " which earned a giggle from me .

I looked at the time and it was 8:50 .

-We have to go - I said

Luke opened my closet quickly and took his bordeaux snapback .

-Found a solution - he said proudly

-Come on you dork - I said pulling him by his hand 

-But i'm your dork - he pulled my arm and crashed his lips to mine

I giggled and we went downstairs .

I opened the front door and we left the house , we got in Luke's car and he started engine .  It was a 15 minute drive .

I looked at Luke and to his lego man necklace , he's always wearing that necklace just like i'm always wearing the gold necklace my father gave me.

Luke smirked .

-Like what you see ? - he looked at me but then looked back at the road

I playfully rolled my eyes .

-I was looking at your necklace . You're wearing that necklace - I said

-It's my favorite necklace . My father gave it to me when i was younger  - Luke said

I smiled .

-What about yours ? - asked Luke

I played with the necklace around my neck and smiled .

-My dad gave it to me when i was 14 - I said

Luke looked at me with a sympathetic look on his face .

-It's the last thing he gave to me before he died and it was also the last time i saw him - I said

Luke shifted in his seat and i knew he wanted to ask me something but he didn't want to push it .

-Luke - I said

-Yeah ? - he asked

-Ask - I said

He looked at me and then back at the road .

-You said it was the last time you saw him - Luke said

-Yeah - I said

Flashback  (Emily is 14 years old )

There was a knock on the door .

-Come in - I said
