Alive or Just breathing?

Chapter 3

Emily's P.O.V.

I walked threw the school gates and I saw Josh with his mates ,he was laughing , his eyes met mine and he waved .

I looked away from him and kept walking until I reached my locker , of course Luke was leaning against it .

-Hey ! - said Luke happily

I just stared at him .

I sighed - Can you please move ?

He smiled happily and said a simple "No"

-Luke ! - I exclaimed

-Not until you tell me why I have to stay away from you , you seem like a really nice person and i'm confused - he said not moving a muscle 

-Luke just let it go . You just have to stay away from me ! - I snapped 

Luke sighed heavily but smiled like a goof .

-Why are you smiling ? I just screamed in your face - I raised an eyebrow

Luke shrugged smiling and he walked away because the bell rang , I quickly put my history book inside my bag and run to class .

I said hi to Paige , Ryan and Matt and took my seat next to Luke .

He looked at me biting his lip and then I noticed .

-Did you pierce your lip ? - I whispered

-Yeah - he whispered back 

-It looks good on you - I whispered back without even realizing what i said

-Thanks - he whispered

We remained the entire class in silence , on others classes he would always try to talk to me but I'll just give him short answers or cold ones .

Finally the day was over and I headed home .

I parked my car in front of my house and when I opened the front door my mom was on the couch making out with some random guy , I rolled my eyes and went upstairs to my room . 

What the hell is she doing I mean she's acting like a teenager , no wonder dad was always so frustrated , i guess I was too blinded with the idea of a perfect family at the time .

I miss my dad so much , a "ting" sound from my phone shook me out of my thoughts .

I unlocked it and I had a text from an unknown number , it read Hey :-) 

To :unknown number Who are you ?

I got a text seconds later .

From: unknown number  Luke :-)

I frowned , i don't remember giving him my number .

To : Luke  How did you get my number ?

From :Luke Paige may or may not give it to me  

To : Luke Oh god .. I'm going to kill her

From : Luke Can you tell me why I'm supposed to stay away from you?

To : Luke  Just let it go ..

From : Luke  Why ? :-(

To : Luke You just have to ok ?

From : Luke  :-(

I sighed locking my phone , i grabbed my acoustic guitar and put on my black and white vans and left home , mom was still in the couch with that random dude .

I walked to the only place i knew i was going to get peace , the roof top of that damn building .

I sat in the edge thinking about the way Josh waved at me today . Why would he do that ? He's he mocking me again ? I shook those thoughts away and started to play a song without actual singing it .

Luke's P.O.V.

After sending the last text to Emily she didn't reply back , i sighed and decided to go take a walk to think about why is Emily like that . I sighed .

I was walking down the street , it was a quite street and there was no one , good , i don't like crowded places anyways .

Suddenly i heard a guitar being played , I looked around and saw nothing , the music sounded like it was coming from an empty abandoned building , curiosity took over me and I climbed it ,I was hiding behind a brick wall .

A wonderful voice started to sing and I recognized the song , it was "The Only Exception" by Paramore .

I looked to the girl who was playing and I was dumbfounded to see it was the one and only Emily Young .

I decided to hide behind the brick wall until she finished the song , she sang so well , she's full of mysteries and I wanted to find them out .

She finished the song , and i didn't know why I felt nervous .

I took a deep breath and stepped closer to her " I didn't know you could sing "

She looked at me .

Emily's P.O.V.

I started to sing "The Only Exception" by Paramore , I always felt like i could tell anything to .. I don't want to say his name . After what happened I always showed my feelings through music , but not most people notice that .

I finished the song and smiled .

I heard a voice coming from behind me "You never told me you could sing "

I looked back and saw Luke looking at me smiling .

-You never told me you were a stalker - I said chuckling

He chuckled and sat next to me .

-I'm not a stalker - said Luke

-How did you find me ? I'm sure it wasn't Paige because that would be impossible , this is like my secret place - I said 

My secret place .. And now he knows about it ..

-I went for a walk to think about things and I heard a guitar so I decided to see where it was coming from so here am I - said Luke

I giggled .

-Can you please tell me - he looked deeply in my eyes

-Luke - I whispered putting my head on his shoulder

-Why can't you tell me ? I know we only know each other for 3 days but you can trust me and I know I can trust you - he asked

I sighed and whispered to his ear .

"I'm broken and i'm not worth it "
