~your POV~
"Winnie, give it back!" I shouted as I chased the five-year-old around the coffee table in the lounge, like I had been for the past ten minutes.
"You have to catch me first!" Winnie laughed. She ran past the couch, taking the pillows off of it and throwing them at me before running out of the lounge and into the kitchen.
"I swear to god if you break my phone or anything else in this house, you won't be leaving your room for a week!" I shouted, walking towards the doorway. She just laughed and continued running between the hallway and the kitchen.
After another five minutes, Winnie ran upstairs and into the bedroom that her and Hazel share, the door being shut and locked soon after. I finally decided to give up and went to sit in the lounge.
I let out a big sigh as I plopped down on the couch, shutting my eyes and pushing my hair out of my face.
"God damn kids." I groaned, covering my eyes with my hand.
I stayed sat on the couch for a bit when I heard the front door open, and Carly and Phil came around the corner.
"Hey (y/n), sorry to just barge in. We both texted you, but you didn't answer." Phil said to me as they sat down on the love-seat across from me.
"Yeah, you can blame Winnie for that." I sighed, bringing my legs up and sitting cross legged on the couch.
Carly looked around at the half a dozen pillows scattered on the floor, then looked back at me.
"Don't ask." I sighed, leaning against the arm of the couch.
The three of us talked for a few minutes before Dan walked in, looking even more exhausted than me.
He had an assortment of different pink bows in his hair, and his face was a catastrophe of blue eyeshadow and red lipstick.
"Nice to see you, Princess Peach." Phil said to Dan while smiling up at him.
"Princess Peach? Is that really the best insult you have?" Dan smirked while sitting on the couch next to me and leaning his head down on my shoulder.
"It's better than Miss curtain jeans." Carly added, nudging Phil in the side and laughing.
"So, what the hell happened to you?" I asked Dan, looking down at him resting his head on me. He closed his eyes and sighed before speaking.
"I fell asleep while playing tea party with Hazel, and in that time she seemed to figure out how to use mommy's makeup." Dan sighed again and snuggled into the crook of my neck.
"Oh, and I believe this is your's." Dan said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out my phone. It was now completely covered in a combination of Cinderella and Ninja Turtles stickers, screen and all.
"Fantastic." I dropped my phone into my lap and rested my head on top of Dan's.
"You two look like absolute shit." Carly said, looking over at us.
"Having two kids will do that to a person." Dan replied lazily.
"How about Carly and I take them tonight?" Phil offered.
"Really? You'd put up with them for a whole night, for us?" I questioned, lifting my head up and scratching the back of my neck.
"Of course! They can sleepover at our place tonight, and you guys can have a little alone time for yourselves." Carly exclaimed happily. "It looks like you really need it."
"Well, we haven't really gone out with just the two of us lately." Dan mentioned, lifting his head up and looking at me.
"Alright, but you need to go wash that shit off of your face. I'm not going out with you looking like that." I laughed as I pulled a pink and purple striped bow out of Dan's hair.
------
About an hour later, Winnie and Hazel were packed for sleeping over at Phil and Carly's place, and Dan had all of the horrific makeup washed off of his face.
