Seok Kyung nudged Tae Sung playfully. “And this guy? He was so polite about it. He just smiled and let her struggle.”

Min Ah turned to him, impressed.

“Wow. You handled that well. I’d be offended.”

Tae Sung shrugged with an easy smile. “I was a little disappointed, but it’s Ye Na. She’s always been like this.”

I frowned at him. “What is that supposed to mean?”

His eyes twinkled. “It means you were always too busy looking at books to notice people.”

Sun Woo laughed. “That really checks out.”

Min Ah sighed dramatically. “Wow.
And here I thought everyone knew Tae Sung. Even the professors liked him.”

Joon Ho pointed at him. “Right? He was the guy that all the sunbaes liked.”

Kyung Min smirked. “And the girls, too.”

Tae Sung, looking mildly embarrassed now, simply took a sip of his drink without responding.

I scoffed. “Okay, so he was popular. Big deal.”

Seok Kyung gasped, clutching her chest. “Ye Na, show some respect.”

I rolled my eyes. “This is getting ridiculous.”

Tae Sung chuckled, leaning slightly toward me. “It’s okay, Ye Na. I don’t need you to remember me to know that I’ve always remembered you.”

The table fell into a stunned silence.

I blinked, caught off guard.

And then—

“Ooooohhh.”

Joon Ho, Sun Woo, Min Ah, and Kyung Min all reacted at once, smirking, nudging each other, clearly enjoying the moment way too much.

Yeo Jin smirked. “Wow. Smooth.”

I groaned. “Can we not?”

Seok Kyung and Ha Ya, instead of defending me, were laughing just as hard as the rest.

Tae Sung just smiled knowingly, as if he was entirely unaffected by the teasing.

Joon Ho was the first to break the silence, his grin stretching so wide it looked like it physically hurt. “Okay, but seriously—Ye Na, Tae Sung, is there something we should know?”

Min Ah gasped dramatically. “Oh my god, is this a secret romance reunion?”

I sighed, rubbing my temples. “No, it’s not.”

Sun Woo wiggled his eyebrows. “Are you sure? Because the way Tae Sung just said that? That’s like straight out of a K-drama confession scene.”

Kyung Min leaned forward, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Are we witnessing something in real time?”

Seok Kyung and Ha Ya? Absolutely no help.

They were sitting back, watching the chaos unfold, barely hiding their amusement.

I groaned. “Can we move on?”

“No,” Joon Ho said immediately.

“You guys are being ridiculous,” I muttered, grabbing my drink and taking a sip, refusing to engage further.

But, of course, they weren’t going to drop it so easily.

“Alright, fine,” Min Ah said, turning to Tae Sung instead. “What about you, Mr. Smooth? What’s your love life like these days?”
