I sighed, staring at my reflection in the mirror as I absentmindedly twisted a strand of hair between my fingers. My cousin Harin was in the other room, excitedly choosing the perfect outfit for tonight. After all, it wasn't every day that Han Wool's mother and grandmother came over.

I, on the other hand, wasn't particularly thrilled. Not because I didn't want to see them, but because I had to sit through another one of Harin's performances-the way she always tried to act like the perfect fiancée, playing up her charm in front of Han Wool's family.

But honestly? I just wished Han Wool would come too. If he did, at least I can see him. I miss him.

A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Ye Na, are you ready?" Harin peeked inside, already dressed in a cute top and skirt that hugged her figure.

She isn't going anywhere.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Yeah, I'm coming."

Harin grinned. "Good. Make sure to behave tonight, okay?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"

She giggled, waving a dismissive hand. "You know what I mean. Don't make things awkward."

I wanted to tell her that she was the one making things awkward by existing, but I bit my tongue and grabbed my phone instead.
"You are the one saying that after all".

With one last glance at the mirror, I followed her downstairs, where my aunt and uncle were already preparing for their guests.

A little while later, the doorbell rang, and the entire atmosphere shifted. My aunt hurried to the door.

As the door opened, I caught my first glimpse of Han Wool's mother and grandmother stepping into the house.

His mother was as elegant as ever, dressed in a simple yet expensive-looking outfit, her hair neatly tied back. But it was his grandmother who caught my attention. She was dressed traditionally, her sharp eyes scanning the room as if she were silently evaluating everything.

I straightened my back, hoping I looked at least respectable in her presence.

"Welcome, welcome!" My uncle greeted them warmly, stepping forward to shake hands. My aunt followed suit, bowing politely.

"Ah, it's so good to visit," Han Wool's mother said with a smile. "Thank you for inviting us."

Just as I was about to turn away, another figure stepped inside, and my entire body froze.

Han Wool.

My breath hitched. No one said he was coming.

He looked effortlessly good, dressed casually in a white button-up with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hair was slightly tousled, and there was a knowing glint in his eyes as they landed on me.

"Oppa!" Harin exclaimed, rushing toward him with a bright smile. "I didn't know you were coming too!"

Han Wool returned her smile briefly before his gaze flickered back to me. "Yeah," he said, eyes locked onto mine. "I missed you."

I felt my stomach drop.

Harin, oblivious, clung to his arm. "I'm so happy you're here!"

Meanwhile, I was still processing the fact that he had just said that-to me-while Harin was draped all over him.

I clenched my fists. This woman.

I wanted to punch her. Hard.

Isn't she the one who fought with him yesterday? And now she is acting like excited as ever!
