The room was still, wrapped in the soft glow of morning light. I lay there, staring at the ceiling, my body still warm from sleep.
Then, the memories hit.
The wine. The way we touched. The way I clung to him, breathless, desperate.
Oh No....
The sheets were slightly crumpled, but the space where Han-Wool had been was cold.
My chest tightened.
Sitting up slowly, I ran a hand through my hair, trying to shake off the drowsiness. My eyes darted around the room. Where is he?
Then, I noticed something on the nightstand.
A small note.
I hesitated before picking it up. The handwriting was sharp, neat, and unmistakably his.
"There’s breakfast in the kitchen."
Oh-
Did I do something wrong?
My mind instantly replayed last night—the way we had gotten close, the way I had let myself forget everything. The wine, the laughter, the way our bodies had gravitated toward each other. The moment his lips had brushed mine. The way we had pulled each other in, stripping away every hesitation, surrendering to something neither of us could name.
But then—
I had been the one to touch him first.
I had leaned in.
I had let my emotions take over.
Did he regret it?
The thought burned.
I forced myself out of bed, dressing quickly. When I stepped into the kitchen, a plate of food sat on the counter. Untouched.
He had made breakfast, but he hadn’t waited for me.
He had left without saying a word.
I couldn’t eat.
After slowly looking around to find any traces of him, even if he isn't here, I grabbed my bag and left, the cold air outside biting against my skin. The weight in my chest refused to lift.
I'll talk to him in the school and explain...
When I reached school, my mind was preoccupied with his thoughts, doubts about last night- if he hated it.
I was thinking of seeing him and talk, but somehow ended up with study group instead.
I stepped into the study group room, still distracted by what had happened this morning.
But before I could dwell on it, a loud voice snapped me back to reality.
"There she is!" Ga-Min declared, clapping his hands together like a proud professor. "Our new official sixth member!"
I blinked. "I never agreed—"
"Welcome to the club," Ji-Woo interrupted, smirking as she patted the seat beside her.
"Wait, hold on," I tried again. "I never said I was joining—"
"You sat here yesterday," Ga-Min said matter-of-factly, adjusting his glasses. "That makes you a member. It’s the rule."
"What rule?"
"The rule I just made up."
I sighed. "That’s not how it works—"
"Let her go if she doesn’t want to," Hui-Won said quietly, her soft voice cutting through the noise.
Se-Hyeon gasped dramatically. "Hui-Won! Are you betraying us?"
