What the hell am I even doing?

I shouldn't be standing here, sulking, thinking about how I'd rather be anywhere else but in this stupid engagement party where everyone seemed to be planning a future I wanted no part in.

Still, here I was.

I sighed again, taking another bite of my chocolate.

I unwrapped another piece of chocolate, letting the sweet taste melt on my tongue as my thoughts spiraled.

Should I even go tomorrow?

Would Han Wool be there too? Would he stand beside Harin, smiling as she tried on different wedding dresses?

The thought made my stomach twist.

That should've been me.

He is supposed to be my man. The one standing beside me. Not her.

I sighed, peeling back more of the wrapper, my fingers absentmindedly breaking off another piece. My mind was a battlefield of what-ifs and should-haves, but before I could drown in them completely-

Strong hands suddenly gripped my waist.

I barely had time to react before my feet were lifted off the ground, and within seconds, I was perched on the kitchen counter.

"What the-?!"

Before I could even process what was happening, warm lips crashed against mine.

Han Wool.

My body instantly tensed, my hands pressing against his shoulders to push him back. My heart was racing. "Are you for real?!" I whisper-yelled, my voice filled with panic. "They're all here! What if someone comes in-"

"Relax," he murmured, his voice low, teasing. He leaned in again, his lips brushing against my jaw, his breath warm against my skin. "They're all too busy planning that damn house."

I swallowed hard, my hands still gripping his arms. "Still," I hissed, trying to keep my voice steady. "What if-"

"I made sure no one's coming."

I squinted at him. "Really?"

A slow smirk curled on his lips. "Yeah," he whispered, leaning in. "No one will come."

I opened my mouth to argue, but before I could say anything, he crashed his lips against mine again, silencing me completely.

I let out a muffled gasp, my fingers instinctively tangling into his hair as he deepened the kiss. His hands roamed, gripping my thighs, pulling me closer, his body pressing firmly against mine.

This was dangerous.

But damn it, it felt so good.

"Han Wool-" I tried to speak between kisses, but he didn't let me. He kissed me harder, his tongue sliding past my lips, claiming every inch, leaving me breathless.

"Stop talking," he muttered against my lips.

His hands squeezed my thighs again, and I involuntarily wrapped them around his waist, locking him against me. His lips trailed down my jaw, my neck, his teeth grazing slightly before he came back up, capturing my mouth once more.

I was melting.

My fingers tugged at his hair, and he groaned against my lips, his grip tightening as he pulled me even closer.

"This is insane," I breathed between kisses, my voice barely audible.

He chuckled against my skin. "You love it."
