She beams at him, completely ignoring my existence. “Why didn't you call me?.”
Han Wool blinks, then shrugs. “You were sleeping.”
Harin pouts. “You should’ve woken me up.”
Han Wool raises an eyebrow, amused. “Didn’t wanna disturb my beautiful future wife’s sleep.”
I choke on my coffee.
He flicks a glance at me, too quick, too knowing, like he said that on purpose.
I glare at him. He winks.
Oh, I hate him. I really, really do.
I love him.
Harin sighs dramatically, sitting beside him. She presses into his side, tilting her head adorably. “We have so much to do today, you know?”
Han Wool looks at her, confused. “Do we?”
Harin pouts. “Of course! Wedding shopping. Invitations. I want to check venues today too.”
Han Wool’s lips part like he’s about to argue, but then he pauses—as if realizing something.
He glances at me.
I brace myself.
Then, very deliberately, he grins.
“Ohhh.” He leans back against the couch, stretching his arms. “Right, right. Wedding stuff.”
Harin nods enthusiastically. “Mhm!”
His eyes flick to me again.
And then—
“Guess I gotta start getting used to being a married man, huh?”
I swear to GOD.
My jaw clenches so hard it could shatter.
I refuse to look at him.
Harin giggles, running a hand through her hair. “You’ll be such a great husband.”
Han Wool hums, amused. “You think?”
“Of course.” Harin smiles sweetly. “You’re perfect.”
He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, if you say so.”
I resist the urge to launch my coffee cup at her head.
Han Wool turns back to the TV, as if I don’t exist, as if he didn’t just glance at me every five seconds just to see my reaction.
Harin follows his gaze. “What are you watching?”
Han Wool grins. “Cartoons.”
She blinks, clearly thrown off. “Oh. Um.” She forces a small laugh. “You still watch those?”
“Obviously.”
Harin looks unsure, but she quickly plasters on a smile. “Oh. Well… that’s cute.”
I snort.
Han Wool glances at me instantly, eyes narrowing.
I pretend to sip my coffee, completely innocent.
He smirks. Slowly.
And just like that, I know.
He’s going to make this worse.
“Actually,” he says, stretching out his legs, looking so at ease, “Ye Na and I were just having a deep discussion about cartoons before you came.”
