Invalid [Poem]

She clawed at her chest
Desperate to pull her heart out
She wept so hard that
No sound left her throat

She felt like her heart
Was bleeding out, so profusely
She knelt to the ground
In the dark with grief

You ridiculed her
Devalued her pain and trials
She cried out skywards
And you ignored her

Coward, liar
Attention slut
These are the names that
You called her with spite

What did she do
To you that you'd
Be so cruel and
Just leave her to rot?

She was wounded
By your words but
You would not know
For she smiles through pain...

She won't let your
Words hold her back
Memories of
You can take a hike...

Because she is
Not invalid
And she knows this
So now she is freed...
