I was dead but now I live
Was blind but now I see
All the debt that I owed
To ever atone for it all
Was beyond me and my abilityBorn again and again each day
Each dawn is a new chance
Once more, I've fallen back
And again I've turned from my God
To the poison I think will enhanceThis world is so dark again
I know I'm called to Light
But it is hypnotic;
This world that I have created
Now I feel as though I have lost my sightI have become so squeamish
To the thought of doing
More than lazing about
I am a royal pain to
These folks who still have to live with meBut once dead, now I'm alive
'Twas blind but now I see
Reborn each day with hope
For a bright and new beginning
I am saved by His grace and mercyThis hypnotic, chaotic rush
It is not my master
And though my sin and lust
Try to grab me by the ankle
They won't bring me down to disaster
