"Cheonga?"

I looked away.

"Cheonga."

Still ignored him.

Then, suddenly-

He clapped his hands loudly. "Okay! I'm coming up! Wait there!"

My eyes snapped open in horror.

Wait-what?!

Before I could protest, he ran inside.

What is wrong with him?!

I already told him no! Is he planning to chase me until my last breath?!

No.

No, I am not dealing with this.

I scanned the rooftop, looking for an escape.

Then-I found it.

Above the rooftop, there was a second small ledge, almost like a rooftop on the rooftop. A ladder led up to it.

That would work.

Without wasting time, I climbed up and flattened myself against the surface, making sure I was hidden.

Seconds later, the rooftop door burst open.

Yun Ga-Min stepped out, looking around.

"Cheonga?"

Silence.

He walked further in.
"Where did she go?"

I stayed completely still, barely breathing.

Yun Ga-Min scratched his head, then sighed. "Guess she left."

Relief washed over me.

Finally.

But then-

He turned and looked at the ladder.

"Why is this ladder here?" he muttered.

Oh no.

Before I could even process what was happening, he grabbed the ladder-

And moved it.

No.

NO.

I almost gasped, but I forced myself to stay quiet, waiting until he finally left.

After ten minutes, I peeked down.

And then-I froze.

The ladder really was gone.

It was now on the other side of the rooftop, just slightly out of reach.

My eye twitched.

No. This wasn't happening.

I took a deep breath, positioned myself carefully, and grabbed the edge, slowly climbing down.

But halfway-

I looked down.

And suddenly, everything felt higher than it actually was.

My grip tightened.

My legs dangled awkwardly, only half of my body hanging off the edge. My stomach pressed against the rooftop ledge as my arms clung to the surface for dear life.

I kicked my legs slightly.

Okay. This was fine. I just needed to let go.

I didn't let go.

Instead, panic kicked in.

"Oh my god. Oh my god, I'm going to die," I muttered.

Then louder-

"Aah! Someone help! I'm stuck! I can't get down! I'm going to die!"

It wasn't even that high, but it felt like it.

My legs flailed uselessly.

Then-

The rooftop door creaked open.

Voices.

Familiar ones.

No.

Please, no.

I heard footsteps.

Then-

"Who the hell is screaming?"

A pause.

And then-

Someone looked up.

Ma Min-Hwan.

No way.

Behind him-Pi Han-Wool.

No. No. No.

I stared at them.

They stared back.

An unbearable silence filled the air.

"...Hi," I said weakly.

Min-Hwan squinted. Then burst out laughing. "What the hell are you doing up there?"

I cleared my throat. "Uh. Can you help me down?"

Min-Hwan turned to the others, still laughing. "Guys, she's stuck."

The other guys chuckled.

Han-Wool, however, didn't laugh. He simply glanced up, then walked past without a word.

The others followed him, ignoring me entirely.

I was still hanging there.

Still stuck.

Still humiliated.

I stared at them in disbelief.

THEY WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO HELP?!

Min-Hwan threw me one last amused glance before following the group to their usual spot.

My soul left my body.

I was officially done.

Absolutely done.

I clenched my teeth and kicked my legs, attempting to push myself off.

Failed.

Tried again.

Failed.

One last time-

And finally-

I jumped.

The landing was... not graceful.

I hit the ground with a thud, and the entire rooftop shook, almost shaken the whole rooftop like an earthquake.

Something metal clattered. A few loose items fell over.

The guys at the far end stopped talking, turning slightly.

"What was that?" someone muttered.

Still crouched on the floor, I dusted myself off and stood up as if nothing had happened.

With perfect composure, I walked toward the door.

Han-Wool's group exchanged confused glances.

Min-Hwan frowned. "That was weird."

Han-Wool didn't react. He simply tapped his fingers lazily against his knee, uninterested.

I walked out of the rooftop, my face blank, but inside-

I swore vengeance on Yun Ga-Min.
