It came from Payne, who was making masks and paper decorations beforehand. When the lights had returned, everyone was shocked that Payne had paper cuts on her arms and legs, her shorts barely covering her legs, hence failing to protect them from paper cuts.
"Payne?! Are you alright?!" Ciara asked.
"No! I got cut, and I usually don't get paper cuts, what the hell is going on?!" Payne asked as she could feel blood spilling from all the wounds, stinging worse than a bee sting.
Suddenly, Payne could feel her arms growing number and number, feeling cold and limp. Payne couldn't believe what she was feeling, "what is happening to me?" Payne then heard loud SHRRIPs, which resounded throughout the entire room, as she could feel blood spilling from the wounds. Her arms were cracking and popping, pulling away from the torso as well. Suddenly, her arms ripped off, as a whole lot of blood was spilling from the wounds as well. Payne noticed all the skin, flesh, muscle, bones, nerves, veins and arteries, all of it spilling from her arms as she was hyperventilating, screaming out, "Oh, God! Oh, God! Oh, God! Oh, God!"
"Oh, no, you're becoming an object as well! Gaia is literally making you into an object!" Britannica cried out as she was scared for Payne as well. Payne felt her legs beginning to crack and pop, a pitch black substance beginning to coat her legs, and squeezing them, making them thinner and thinner, fat and muscle being leeched away as bones were getting crushed, making her legs growing oddly flexible as well. Her legs became as thin as wires as her feet were cracking and popping as well. As her feet grew more dexterous, her toes merged together and the feet shifted and bloated into semispheres. This caused her white sneakers to feel uncomfortable and tight, before tearing off her feet, revealing the objectified feet.
Suddenly, Payne could fell a sharp jolt within her nether regions as her womanhood was shriveling up into nothingness, as Payne screamed in pure agony. It felt as if that area was being repeatedly whacked, but the pain was amped up to eleven. Payne then finally felt the pain, along with her womanhood, disappearing, as she was now rendered technically genderless, although she was now a HE.
Payne could feel his skin beginning to pale out in such a rapid rate, as his skin turned into paper, aerodynamic enough for the perfect paper airplane origami to work. Payne could also feel his bones cracking and popping, organs getting crushed as his body grew flatter and flatter, his neck cracking and popping as he could feel his vocal cords shifting, causing his voice to become more masculine as a result. Payne was too shocked to even form words for this situation, to describe it even. He couldn't think of any words. Payne could feel his neck snapping, collapsing and disappearing, as the CEPHALOTHORAX began to come in.
Payne could feel his head being shoved right into his torso, as his brown hair fell out in clumps, his ears folding back and his nose flattening into his face. His body was flattening more and more until he was paper-thin, as he couldn't get up, his body turning into a rectangle, the standard aspect ratio of printer paper, but the size making him still around human-sized, albeit slightly smaller than a human. He was probably around the 4ft range, if not 3ft range now.
It was a horrifying sight to see, the flattening process had made him vomit out his innards, being crushed into mush and powder. Ciara vomited in the trash can as she felt disgusted by the sight, but Lilac walked out to smoke a cigarette because she was pissed, and Mary was plain shocked, watching someone turn into an object creature before her very eyes.
Payne then screamed in agony as his body folded, intricate folds forming around his body, as he could feel the last strands of his hair falling off. He could feel himself becoming the popular paper airplane shape, as he could feel his eyes turning from amber to a pitch black color, turning into little beads. Payne could also feel his jaw becoming sore as gums were bleeding, blood dripping from his bottom lip, as he could feel his teeth flattening and merging together, tinging a pure white as they were becoming two rows of perfectly aligned rectangular teeth. He licked his simplifying lips and noticed that he now had those same damn teeth as those objects had, at least the standard object teeth. He could also feel his tongue turning a brighter pink color and his mouth turning black, as his lips had finished simplifying, now being a simple black line. With a few more coughs and adjustments, his transformation into a sapient paper airplane was now complete.
"Huh?! What the hell is this?! Why am I a fucking object?!" Payne whimpered, not wanting to be an object, "Gaia is literally turning us all into objects, you were all right!"
"Calm down, Payne." Ciara tried to reassure Payne, who was clenching his head due to a migraine stronger than the one you get from stress. It was as if Hellscape decided to give him a headache, a headache that was worse than a hangover from having too much beer.
"I... am losing myself... save yourselves before its too late!" Payne cried out as his mind was beginning to alter.
Papane could feel his old, human memories beginning to slip away from his grasp, as memories of doing arts and crafts and being friends with Ciara, Lilac and Mary was fading away, becoming distant before he had forgotten completely.
"N-no! Don't take them away from me!" Papeaiane could also feel his memories of living in Mountain Town fading away, being replaced with his entire life spent in Animania. In fact, new memories were flooding in as objects were popping up in his memories, the longer this went on, the more familiar the objects had became to him, eventually granting him access to their names.
Paperailane could feel himself remembering being in an alliance with Toothy, Coney, and Fly Swat. He also remembered competing on Object Overload as well. He remembered those contests, and how Kite keeps on saving Toothy, Coney, Fly Swat and him from the danger that they put themselves in. His personality also shifted into that of a daredevil, as he started to feel the urge to take risks as well.
With the last vestiges of his old identity slipping away, Payne Alpena was now dead to the world, replaced by Paper Airplane.
"Where am I? This isn't Animania! Who are you? Where's my alliance at?!" Paper Airplane asked as everyone started to back away and running away from him, "Why is everyone afraid of me?"
However, once person wasn't afraid of him, and it was Ciara, who wasn't going to leave her best friend behind, even after transforming with zero memories of who she was once before.
Yet this would be a huge mistake because Gaia was wait for someone else to transform... Ciara.
