Kyle couldn't believe it, another one of the people in Mountain Town had just disappeared, this time, it was none other than Pavlina. Kyle didn't want to know what happened between both Pav and Gaia last night neither.
The horrifying sight of blood, it was bringing back memories of people panicking last night about the disappearance of his roommate back in 2019.
September 2019
It was the day after the food-eating contest and Beatrice Taylor had one the contest due to Benson having complications that were beyond explainable.
It was strange that Kyle was all alone, especially after what happened with both of his roommates, Benson and Bailey. He couldn't believe it, people don't just disappear like that, someone has to be kidnapping them and hiding them somewhere.
Kyle decided to take a walk, only to be stopped by an angry redheaded woman with blonde bangs and punk clothing.
"Hey! Why the fuck are you ignoring me?! What the hell is wrong with you?!" This girl, Farina, shouted at Kyle, much to his irritation.
"Benson has disappeared, just nights after his best friend and my other roommate Bailey has as well!" Kyle shouted.
"I have something to fucking tell you, Benson is no longer with us! I have watched him fucking throw up and turn into an object with NO MEMORIES OF HIS OLD LIFE!" Farina scowled, angry at Kyle and more herself, "And the worst thing is that I cannot even protect him from that, I have failed to protect my damn friend!"
Farina then stormed away, heading back to class. Kyle now knew of Benson's fate, but he didn't know that many others would fall a similar fate as him... but he knew that interfering with things would make it worse for himself, the victims and whoever is doing it to them.
Back in the Present...
Kyle was sobbing because he was reliving his past trauma, the fact that he couldn't save people in time. He always feared losing others, he always feared being put into situations where he's unable to save anyone.
Looking back, Kyle couldn't help but wonder why hasn't Trish or Leslie taken him along with those classmates, was it because he didn't attend the same class as them? Was it because they saw him as something too insignificant? Was it because he wasn't worthy of a transformation?
Why was he one of the few surviving people who knew directly of the transformations? From word of mouth? He knew that he had to make sure that it never happens again, or he'd start assuming that he's cursed to lose a whole lot of people he knows and loves. He's already lost some friends and Deerville to the incidents, he cannot afford to lose anything or anyone else.
