Cooper Glassy, 21, was sitting down at his home, drinking a bottle of vodka while watching an old movie from 2004. Cooper was always into older media, especially films and music. He was also a HUGE sucker for lost media.
"Coop! Open up! I have something to tell you about! Clay told me that Bolivar has gone missing and hasn't heard from him since last night!" Pavlina shouted as she knocked on the door, concerned about the recent events.
"Pav, please, the door is unlocked, you can come on in any time you want!" Cooper replied.
Pavlina then opened the door as she looked at the TV screen that Cooper was on, looking at the room as she noticed an old looking movie, "At your old media binge again, aren't you?"
"Yes. Are you going to cook some popcorn?!" Cooper asked.
"Well, yes, it wouldn't be movie night without popcorn!" Pavlina smiled as she walked over towards the microwave and grabbed a bag of popcorn.
"So, how's work going?" Cooper asked.
"Well, at the movie theater, not so great, I have ran into some Karen who didn't like the movie that scared the living shit out of her little Timmy." Pavlina scoffed, "She threatened to sue the movie theater as well. People these days, you can't stand them!"
"Yeah, that's why I preferred self-reflection and spending some time with the few friends I have instead of going out and about like society says we should!" Cooper scoffed, "I mean, extroversion isn't for everyone, some of us prefers the solitude and how peaceful it is."
Cooper and Pavlina have been dating for years, always bonding over the fact that nobody really liked them and that they didn't really like people either. Pavlina was done making the popcorn as she knew that it was going to be a great movie night, and there wasn't going to be any incidents? Right? That's where you'd be all dead wrong as Cooper had heard someone knocking on the door, as he got up, paused the movie and answered it, only for a box with his name on it to be at his front door.
"Hmm... I wonder who would deliver me this?! I don't remember ordering anything." Cooper mumbled to himself, as he sat back down and resumed the movie, while Pavlina was eating popcorn, not minding anything. Cooper opened the box, noticing that there was a particular green and purple case, perhaps either a DVD or a music CD was inside of it. He noticed it was a piece of lost media called Lost Episode of Object Overload: REAL, NOT FAKE. "Oh, my God, I have never heard of this show before, but it is lost media! Yippee!"
Pavlina then heard the screams of joy coming out of Cooper's mouth, "Coop, are you sure this is legit, because I have read creepypastas about lost media before and how things end. I don't think that it might be safe."
"Well, babe, I think it is going to be a-okay as long as I have you by my side!" Cooper smiled, knowing that ghost stories revolving around lost media are just clickbait, and to scare people off of the things they love.
Cooper ejected the movie disc, stopping the movie he's originally watching, and placed the new disc inside instead.
Cooper was expecting to see a lost episode and nothing else anyways. There's nothing wrong with watching a little bit of lost media, right?! Well, you're all dead wrong, as well as Cooper is dead wrong as well. Cooper noticed that the screen was glitching and there's some words in a strange language. Cooper cannot translate what it is, but he sensed that the language is evil of some sort. He has never passed foreign languages, so he wouldn't understand what it really means. All it was is just some menacing text, as the screen turned into static and cables came out of the DVD player.
"Is that supposed to happen?" Pavlina asked, "Wait, this is something straight out of a creepypasta!"
The cables then wrapped over Cooper's wrists and ankles as he screamed, tears streaming down his cheeks as he could feel his body shaking, trembling in pure fear as he struggled to get out of the cables. But it was too late, as Pavlina ran over towards the kitchen, facing away from the TV as purple and green lights barraged at Cooper's eyes, temporarily blinding him.
