Chapter Eight

All along there were an invisible string tying you to me

We watch as he passes, we do not get caught.

Although we almost do when Pacey yelled "Bite me Green" outside the window.

Pacey begins laughing, I'm a little freaked out.

"Why are you laughing?"

"See wasn't that fun?"

"Hell no" I admit. "That was terrifying."

"Oh please, it was fun" he tells me as he starts the car.

We continue driving on for a while until we get to a building.

"Be right back" he says as he rushes in smiling.

He comes back in holding some sort of box.

"What's in it" I ask him.

"You'll see."

He starts the car and we continue driving, but not in the direction of anywhere I know.

"Wait Pacey where are we going" I say a bit concerned.

"You'll see."

"I'm not going to come along contently without knowing what is going on" I turn to him and say.

"It'll be okay, I swear" he laughs.

"That's so trustworthy."

"You sure are stubborn Daphy" he says as he hangs his pinky out. I shake it to mine.

We continue to drive until we get to a random boat. He gets out with the box in hand, I sit there confused.

He waves me outside, I give him a confused look. I come out, still confused what was going on.

"Pacey why are we here?"

"For this" he says pointing to the boat. He takes the stuff out of the box; it is a plaque saying "true love."

"For a broken down boat?"

"Well we are going to fix it up."

"Oh I'm not helping you with this" I laugh and walk back to the car.

"Please, come on Daphy. Please I'm begging you."

"Why should I?"

"Out of the kindness of your heart" he smiles to me.

"Fine" I give in and walk to him. "But what's with the name?"

"Because it's unattainable idea."

"The boat?"

"No" he laughs. "Love is."

"I'll agree to that."

"Well would you scrape by the boat over there?"
