"Ugh I hate this" Jen says as she gets into my car. "The idea that I have to go back to school is ridiculous to me."
"Yeah, I'm not that joyful about it either" Jack adds as he sits in the back.
"Just two more years" I tell them, trying to help. "And for now we will have to get through this whole, stupid school year."
"Wish us luck" Jen chuckles.
We leave her house and arrive to school. All of us are feeling some sort of resentment towards the cycle of never ending school.
"Let's get this over with" Jack says putting his arms around our shoulders and walking us through.
We go in, grab our locker information, grab our schedules, and head to the Junior Year Assembly. We, of course, try to stay in the back. Best we are able to.
A bunch of girls walk by and try to poke fun at Jen, the three of us overall, but Jen strikes back in some sort of manner. But I'm too distracted to hear.
"Ooh there's Aaron, Daph you gonna go ask him out" Jen jokes.
"That was such a stupid freshman year phase to have, having a crush on him. He's just a stupid jock" I laugh back.
I look around for either Joey or Dawson, I want them as far away as they can be. We don't need more drama, so they need to stay away.
The principal begins talking, he keeps going on.
I ignored all else during the assembly, I was really just looking at my schedule and finding my route for each day.
The assembly ends and we immediately go to our lockers.
Mine is right next to my twin brother, Dawson. Lucky me?
"Hey daph" he sighs. He isn't looking at me, but instead looking around me. "What's up?"
"Nothing much, trying to get through this stupid day. Are you okay Dawson?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I think I'm not staying today, I got a better invite to somewhere. Cover for me or something?"
"Dawson it's the first day of school, that's a terrible idea. Please don't do something stupid" I plead.
"Things just aren't going good today daph" he says starring right past me.
