Chapter Two

All along there were an invisible string tying you to me

"Hello" I ask into the phone.

"Hey" a deeper voice answered.

"Umm, who is this" I ask.

"It's Aaron Leonard, the guy from school" he said immediately. I realized immediately it was him from his voice.

"Oh" I say shocked "Okay? Well what's up" I say getting nervous.

"Would you like to go out tonight?"

Aaron Leonard asking me out would make myself in freshman year totally freak. I didn't know how to react. I mean this is the guy I had fawned over just years before. Maybe I could. For old times sake? I mean maybe he is more than just a jock. Maybe he could be something more. So, why not?

"Tonight? I'm not sure it's a good night for me..."

"Well my friend heard you talking about me and I thought hell why not try."

"Really?"

"Yes, I've liked you forever."

"Well that's really cool to hear because I've kind of felt the same way" I smile.

"So how does tonight at the Applebees sound?"

Honestly I didn't know we had an Applebees till he told me.

"Well my dad is out of town..."

"It's a Friday night after a long day, a date with me doesn't sound appealing?"

"It does! It really does" I give in. "What time?"

"How does 7 o'clock sound?"

"Sounds great to me, see you there" I say excitedly.

"Later" he tells me and hangs up. I can't help but squeal.

I look over and see that the time is 5 o'clock.

Jen comes over immediately with Jack and we go over everything.

We decide my dress, she does my hair, she does my makeup, and we fix me up. It takes about an hour and a half. I had to look perfect for this date.

"Well I can drop you off, but I won't have the car later. So you just have to get a ride from him" she lifts her eyebrows to hint.

"No I can just drive myself there" I reassure her.

"No" she says immediately. "It will seem less mysterious. You need to seem cooler than him, because you are."

"Okay fine" I say nervously making hand gestures. "He has a nice car anyway."

"I really can't believe you're going on a date with Aaron" Jack laughs.

"Me neither" I admit nervously.

It was almost time for me to get dropped off.

We sit around the living room for the perfect time to leave and get there.

Then Pacey, Dawson, and the girl storm in.

"Well we have to make the money up some way" Dawson starts screaming.

"Well I don't see the problem with the party idea" the girl answers.

"Excuse me" I blurt out in confusion to what was going on.

"Daphne" Dawson says upset. I give hum a stern, angry face. "Listen I wrecked dad's boat."

"You what?"

"Well Pacey had this idea of throwing a stripper party to get the money back for it and..."

"Now we are taking ideas from Pacey? About strippers?"

"I mean it's not a terrible idea" Jen admits. "Gets the money back."

"See" Pacey says to me. "It's not terrible."

"Oh and that's reassuring" I stress.

"Daph" Jack says from behind me. "We should leave soon. It's less than a quarter till."

"Let's go, come on" Jen tells me and grabs my hand for us to go.

"Wait where are you going" Dawson asks me.

"And why do you look like that" Pacey adds with a disgusted face.

"None of your business" I tell them. I'm still a little freaked out about the boat and strippers. This is not ideal, not at all. That's when I spit out a mistake.

"You know what? Throw the party. I really don't care anymore. Just don't let it get too crazy, don't do anything stupid, and don't let my name be tied to any of this" I yell. They all look at me stunned, but I walk away quickly to leave.

I really didn't care how they got that money, they needed to. I just didn't need to be apart of it, I had my own plans.

They drop me off and get me excited. They tell me I look pretty and wait for me to get in to drive off. I tell the I love them and say goodnight. They do the same.

I walk to the hostess excitedly.
