I let out a sigh and give in. "Fine, go on Dawson. I don't care."

"Yes you do" he laughs.

"I do, but I get why."

He walked off and ran in the halls to somewhere.

The rest of the day flowed easily for me, wasn't much to it.

Jack and Jen complained with me through it, so that did make it easier.

At the end of the day, I take Jack and Jen home in my little bug.

My slug bug was my mom's in high school, mine now. I got it for my birthday when I got my license and Dawson did not.

I decide when I see a truck that isn't my dad's parked at my house, to go to Jen's.

We watch tv and talk about our day. But barely, we just watched tv mostly.

We stay like this for a while, but not too long. At some point I did have to head home.

My father is the new coach for our schools team. They got really desperate. But my dad has to be out of town for a bit and pretty much put me in charge. A teenagers dream, right? Not really. I want a quiet and peaceful house, I don't want strangers in there. But I also had to figure out something for dinner for Dawson, unfortunately.

I went back home to see Pacey waking out the house.

"Finally leaving" I ask.

"Your wish came true" he smiles to
me.

"So where did you take him?"

"To the strip club" he said cockily smiling and tipping his sunglasses down.

"I think I might throw up."

"Not on me, I'm too valuable for your vomit."

"I think the opposite, but neither here nor there."

My brother walks out, holding  keys and walking with a girl. He avoids eye contact and keeps going. It's very concerning to me.

"Dawson what are you holding? And where are you going" I yell to him.

Him and the girl run off giggling. Not my problem until I'm dragged into it.

"You take one of the strippers home with you" I ask Pacey.

"Hey she came in on her own" he steps back and puts his hands up.

"I don't care enough, just don't let my brother skip again. Atleast try to keep him in check a bit."

"Keep him in check? Me? Daphy you should know better" he smiles.

"Yeah I really chose the wrong person to ask that for. I chose the man toddler."

Daphy is what he calls me as an insult, but I'm not totally sure what the insult is. He's called me it ever since kindergarten.

"Besides he needs to have more fun after last years big drama. Maybe you should too" he continues.

"I am fun" I defend. "Just not to you."

"Or anyone."

"Oh whatever, go home pacey" I say shooing him away and walking.

"Yes ma'am" he says finally getting into his truck and driving off.

I did care where he went with that strange girl, but really what bothered me is what he was doing. What is he doing? With who? And why? Also, what am I going to do for dinner, plan for two or three?

That's when I got a call. This was weird to me, and I know it was a bad thing to do in general, but I answered it.
