"Are you ok??" Ashley's eyes are wide. "Jamie..."

I sit up in my bed and look around. I'm in a cold sweat. Once I realize it was all a dream I close my eyes with a sigh. It WAS all a dream. But at one point, it was real. I have the scars on my back to prove it.

"S-Sorry." I mutter to my sister in the doorway and look over at my dog who is on my lap. I scruff up Maggie's ears a little and wipe my forehead with the back of my hand clumsily.

"What the hell WAS that? You were crying and upset in your sleep."

There is no way I'm telling my sister I was having a nightmare about Joe. She doesn't need to know that. But I DO need to get back into therapy, even if Ashley thinks it's all a load of shit. It was helping me.

"I'm fine. G-go back to bed." I stutter and lay down.

"Jamie. Are you still having those night terrors?" Her eyes fill with empathy.  We were all abused in one way or another, mentally and physically. The girls have their shares of scars. Most you can't see on the outside. I got the brunt of the anger though. If Joe was mad, I was the one getting the beating. He used the girls in... other ways.

"Ash, I really need you to help find me a therapist. I know you don't think it works but it was working for me." I say and Ashley nods.

"Ok. We'll look into it."

I end up falling back asleep fairly quickly. In the morning, I make the decision to go visit Julia. I've been avoiding her like the plague. I just hate going to that place. But she could probably use a friend.

"Nate's right. You really do have some kind of tapeworm." I look over at Jonah shoveling food into his mouth while we take advantage of the catering in the rec room. I'm not one to talk. I eat a ton of food. But Jonah takes the cake, by far. Literally.

"He's ALWAYS eating." Casey chimes in and gives him a cute little nudge. They are so sweet together. This trip was good for them. Jonah is a VERY reserved person. I'm starting to see him open up a little more now.  Watching him with Casey and how he adores her is adorable.

Right as Jonah is about to respond Nate bursts into the room.

"I need an Ativan."

"What's going on, Nate? Hey. Take a deep breath." Jonah rushes to Nate and puts his hand on his shoulder. "Casey, get the med bag."

Evan and I watch Casey scramble to her feet to grab the black medical bag. Since Julia isn't here, we don't have to hide the med bag so it's on the counter near the ping pong table, out in the open. Casey snatches the bag and quickly runs it over to Jonah to unlock.

"Something's not right, Jonah." Nate says but looks at me. I get up off the couch and head to him.

"Are you in pain? Your heart?" I ask.

"Something's not right with Julia. Something happened." He isn't making complete sentences being so worked up. None of it makes sense. "Jeremy called and... He did something. I know he did."

"Nate. Slow down. Here." Jonah says as Casey hands him the small white pill to help calm my nerves.

"How do you know he did something to her?' I ask and watch Nate begin pacing the rec room.

"You KNOW she doesn't freak out for no reason. Something had to of happened for her to have an outburst. He sedated her, and she didn't do anything wrong, did she? He fucking did something to her."
