I managed to get off the damn ship that kidnapped me. Putting my hands on my hips gazing at the scenery. Even more containers stacked on top of each other and along the road. Geeze, I feel like I'm in a huge fort.
Following the path ahead, cause I had no other plan. There were a few Grimm in the vicinity. With an easy slash and dash the defeated Grimm disappeared leaving me alone in the area.
Traveling farther inland, I found a control panel by a radio tower. I was tempted to press buttons, but I wasn't sure. A little worried that one could get me killed.
Coming to a conclusion I shrugged. "Eh? What the heck. Beep boop bop beep boop." I started poking random buttons that made sounds. I smiled, finding it fun, until my scroll started to pick up static.
Reaching around I pulled it out checking the screen, "Unknown?"
"Ahhh, that's better. Sorry, but the reception is always so bad all the way out here. I hope you're enjoying your stay on the island. You're the first visitor I've had in, well, you are the first."
Who the heck is this guy? I frowned and gave a disgusted look. "Hey. I have no idea who you are so, get off my screen will ya?"
"Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Dr. Merlot. You don't know me. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled you're here. You might be exactly what I need for a very important... experiment."
My mouth dropped open and I looked up in the air. "OOOOOOOOOOOH. That's why this place feels familiar." I smile finally remembering who this guy is and where I am. A fan of the show teamed up with the company and made a really cool game, and the story was similar to this one. Grimm Apocalypse, what a great game.
"You know me? I'm honored."
Moving on from the radio tower I head down some steps while chatting with the villain. "You're that guy who worked at Mountain Glenn." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, you did a great job."
"Admittedly, Mountain Glenn is a bit of a sore spot for me. Decades of hard work, countless research projects, not to mention all of the specimens I'd collected over the years - all lost without a trace."
I raised a brow in question. Am I supposed to feel sorry for this doofas? Cause I don't.
"Not much of a talker I see, Well, make yourself at home. I want my guest to feel welcome, but my security team rarely feels the same way."
Finally he left, geeze. He was kind of annoying, definitely one of those villains who monologues when they fight against the hero.
Well, now I know what to expect here; Lots of Grimm, stupid robots and green monsters that glow in the dark. Speaking of, I turned and saw a few Grimm standing in my way.
I sigh, shaking my head. "This is going to be a long day isn't it."
Not wanting to waste any dust on them, I just used the blades and hopped from crate to crate slicing and dicing my way. When the boar tusks came out I had settled on top of the metal crate swinging one leg back and forth.
"Youuuuu WhOOOO!" I teased the Grimm. They noticed right away and charged forward, well rolled to be more precise. The clang on the crate had me surge forward a bit. But the warthogs had thrown too much force into their roll and ended upside on their backs wiggling like roly-polies.
I took out two knives and threw them with ease. Stomachs skewered and the Grimm disappeared. I sigh, this is kind of boring. Immediately I frown, oh wait. I have to fight those mutant monsters and those red robots.
Leaning back on the palm of my hands I groaned aloud. "AAAAAUUHHGGGGUHHH." I remember briefly when playing the game, those robots gave me the most grief.
I'll have to do some stealth work, which is not my greatest strong suit. But then again, I think Merlot actually escapes from the incident. If I don't want him to be a problem, then I'll have to find out where he is located and take him out.
