"Please tell me what happened." Rylie asks.

"Doesn't matter." I mutter.

"Babe it does matter. I hate seeing my best friend all depressed and moping around." She says.

"Well this is who I am right now so deal with it."

"You know, when you find my old friend, tell her I'm looking for her." She storms away. I lean my head against my locker.

Of course I hadn't told her anything. I was protecting her from the same pain I cause Kai and my family.

God Kai, I really did miss him. I hadn't talked to him since he left my house which was about two weeks ago. Whenever he saw me in the halls he'd go the other way or act like he didn't see me.

I don't know how he can act this way towards me.

"Hey there Livy. Heard your boy toy ran away from you." Jen says.

I decide to ignore her.

"You know he is a great fuck." No he wouldn't do that. He wouldn't stoop that low.

"Jen how about you fuck off?" My brother to the rescue, thank the lord.

"Whatever." She saunters away.

"Thanks."

"Mom told me you haven't made your testing appointment." He says.

"Tyler, I can't. What if..what if it is and I only have a little time left?" I tear up.

"That's a what if Liv. It's better to know than sitting around waiting for it to happen. I have to get to class, but just think about it." I watch as he walks away.

"I hate life." I mutter. Taking a deep breath, for the first time in my life I decide that I didn't want to be here. Picking my bag off the ground, set with determination I leave.

I have no clue where I was going, but it was better than being in that place with people asking if I'm okay, being bullied, I just wanted to be left alone.

I couldn't go home, because I knew my parents would there. I find a small park and make myself at home under one of the slides. It was actually a pretty well hidden area. I turn my phone off so no one could track it.

Even though I was on the ground, i still managed to fall asleep.

People arguing wakes me up. I feel a bit disoriented, not really sure where I was until I remembered.

"I don't give a fuck what you have to do. I want you to get that little fucking thug back in the game. I'm losing money." The voice was deep and I didn't recognize it. I try to peek, and do successfully since it was dark.

"How do you expect me to do that?" That voice it was familiar.

"Leave that to me." Where the hell did he come from? I lean a little further out and see the three men.

It was Kai's real dad, his foster dad and I didn't know who the other man was. Wait were they talking about Kai? I pull my knees to my chest and listen.

"And how do you plan on doing it?" Kai's dad asks.

"You didn't know he has a special little friend. He let that little tramp sleep in his room for like a week and a half." My blood run cold. He knew?

"Ah I know who you're talking about. I saw her in his truck when I came to visit. He did seem awfully protective over her. I don't see how you're gonna get to her."  I knew Kai wouldn't let them come within a mile of me.

Well now I don't know, but I'd like to think he'd still want to protect me. "Ah yes, Jerry told me he seemed quite fond of her. Bring me the girl and I'm sure he will come running back like a puppy dog." They all chuckle and finally leave.
