I brush my hair and put it up in a messy bun. "Sometime today, Liv." My older brother, Tyler groans.
"I'm coming take a chill pill." I do one last final check. I had my dad's dark black hair and my mother's pale blue eyes. I was the perfect combination of them. Today I was wearing some blue jean that had rips in them and a plain white shirt, and my white converse id gotten for my birthday.
"I'm leaving without you!" He sings out.
"I'm coming!" I rush downstairs to see he didn't even have his own shoes on. "Mom Tyler is being mean!" I call out. He glares at me while I just smirk at him.
"Ty, please be nice to your sister." Dad says from the couch. Wow how had I missed him there? I walk over and hug him. Yes, I was definitely a daddy's girl.
"She is going to make me late for school." He whines. "Can't you guys just buy her. her own car?" I liked the idea but the only problem with it was I couldn't drive.
"I can't drive Ty." I roll my eyes at him.
"Dad taught me. I'm sure he could teach you." He sticks his tongue out at me. Mom finally walks in, she was still gorgeous, even though she aged a bit. I loved looking at their old pictures from high school.
"Okay you two, enough fighting. You better get going to school before you are late." She hugs and kisses us both on the head as we leave. I look back to see mom and dad share a sweet kiss. I smile to myself walking out to Tyler's car. Tyler only really hated me riding with him was because I always put on my music and for some reason he hates it.
"Not this sappy crap again." He groans as a love song comes on.
"Come on Ty, you need to expand your creativity." I say laughing.
"I don't need to expand anything." He grumbles. Once we arrive, we go our separate ways. He was a senior while I was only a junior.
Immediately my best friend, Riley runs up to me." Liv!" She greets throwing her arms around me.
"Geez Riley, smother me why don't you?" I say chuckling at her face.
"Sorry, sorry." This girl has always had so much energy and was so perky, I think that's why we were friends. Her long hair was now hot pink. I swear she changes it every month. I couldn't recall what her natural hair color was.
"Wow nice hair." I comment.
"Eh, I'm not sure how I really feel about the pink." She admits twirling a piece around her finger.
"Well, you pretty much rock any color you choose." I say as we begin walking.
"This is why you are my bestie. Oh, I remember what I wanted to tell you. So, there is this new kid, and he is totally sexy." She informs me.
"I don't know if I can take your word on that. You called my brother sexy." I can't help but cringe at the memory.
"Oh, he totally is." She sighs happily.
"God stop thinking of him that way. He is a major dick to me." I open the door stepping into the air-conditioned school. "Ugh, I forgot my jacket. Ty rushed me out of the house today." I frown seeing I was getting goose bumps.
"Why the hell do they have this place so cold?" She shivers zipping up her jacket.
"No kidding." I rub my arms trying to get warmed up.
"You forgot your jacket. But don't worry I have an extra one in my locker you can borrow." She says dragging me to her locker revealing a maroon-colored jacket.
"You are literally my life saver." I say gratefully putting on the jacket.
"I try." She says smiling at me. "Oh look, there is the new guy." She says nodding to someone behind me. I turn and look, it was kind of easy to pick him out of the crowd. His light brown hair had some curls in it, his emerald, green eyes were hard and giving away nothing. As he keeps walking towards us, I'm able to make out that he had some freckles across his nose. He had a tattoo peeking out of the collar of his black shirt. He was actually wearing all black clothing, looking like a dark prince. As he passes us, his eyes flicker towards me for a moment. I swear I could just see the hatred in them.
"I think I'll steer clear of him." I say feeling a shiver run down my spine.
"Ha, good luck with that. Word is he is friends with Tyler." She says watching him walking down the hall.
"Then I'll avoid Ty too." It's a brilliant plan really, he was a pain in my ass anyway.
"So, see you after class?" She asks.
"Of course, I'll meet you here." I hug her bye. As I walk down the hall mot everyone sends me big smiles and waves. Everyone likes me, I just try to be friendly and nice all the time. I made sure to make sure no one felt left out. There were only two people who hated me, correction, I guess three now. One was my ex-boyfriend, Evan. I found him cheating on me with my worst enemy. Jen has always hated me, she always wanted to one up me. I made it onto the cheer team, she got cheer captain and kicked me off the team.
Any chance she got, she bullied me, But I hadn't told anyone, because I didn't want them to think less of me. I push them from my head, plastering a smile on my face I head to class.
