"Is it bad?" I wince when Riley touches my face.
"It most likely will bruise." She says frowning. "Who even hit you?" She asks as I look in the mirror, there was no way I was going to be able to hide this. I shake my head not having a clue. "Well, when I looked back, even Kai had joined the fight. So, he must like you enough to defend you." She speaks.
"Or he was helping my brother? You know Evan is a dirty fighter." I point out.
"I swear, I don't know why you dated the guy, no offense."
"Trust me I know. I was blind in love, I'll never let that happen again." I huff.
"Come on we should get to class before we are late." She speaks.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to finish the school day. My head had began pounding, I hadn't seen Tyler since lunch and he was my ride home. "You don't look good." Riley says.
I lean my forehead against the cold metal it provided a temporary relief from the splitting headache I had. "Do you want me to go find Tyler?" She asks clearly seeing I was in bad pain. I was in too much pain so I nod and I hear her walk away. After a few minutes she returns with my brother who no surprise to me had no bruise or any sign he was in a fight.
"Liv, what's wrong?" He asks.
Thankfully Riley speaks for me. "She said her head was hurting her."
"Your usual migraine?" He questions and I shake my head no. I had occosantionally gotten the worst migraines, doctors had no clue why I got them, some were so bad, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed.
"Why don't you sit down." He says. When I turn around his eyes widen. "Who hit you Olivia?" He asks.
"I don't know. Can you just take me home please?" I manage to ask.
"You know mom and dad are going to ask questions. I mean they already know I got into a fight." He says rubbing his jaw.
"Maybe not." I groan. I definitely wasn't going to be able to stay here feeling this way. Tyler looks at me trying to come up with a plan.
"I got it." He says pulling his phone out to call someone. "Hey can you meet me in the D hall? I need a huge favor." He listens to whoever is on the line then hangs up and puts it in his pocket. Within a few minutes Kai appears.
"Why is he here?" I grumble.
The hall had now cleared. "So we got a problem as you can see." Ty says gesturing towards me.A surge of pain rips through my head. I groan pulling my knees to my chest, burying my head in my arms.
"Uh maybe take her to the hospital?" He says not sounding to concerned.
"We can't. our parents can't find out about this." Tyler says.
"Okay? What do you want me to do?"
"Do you think she could stay with you till it heals?" Immediately Kai scoffs. "Please man? I can't ask my other friends because they all say they want to sleep with her and I dont trust them." He adds quickly.
"So if I say I want to sleep with her you will find someone else? Kai asks.
"Please man? Look she is clearly in pain and needs to go rest somewhere." Tyler gestures down to me.
"What about her friend?" Riley had left to get to class. Her parents were very strict and if they heard she'd skipped class, well shed be grounded for a hundred years.
"That's not an option. Her parents are strict as hell. Please?" Tyler begs.
"Aren't your parents going to question where she is?" Kai asks.
"We will them she is staying with Riley." He says.
Kai is quiet a few minutes. "Ugh fine, but I'm not waiting hand and foot on her." He says.
"That's fine. Come on Liv." Tyler picks me up.
"Can walk." I mutter.
"You so owe me." Kai mumbles. It's easy for us to exit the school. They didn't seem to care if we left or not, which is a bit concerning. We stop at an old pale blue pick up truck. Even though it was old, I still kind of liked it.
"Okay Liv, I'll bring you some clothes after school. Thanks again man. This means a lot to me. If you ever need anything, come to me." Ty says putting me on the bench seat inside the truck. Kai doesn't say anything, the ride was silent, he wouldn't even put music on, which I guess is good since my head felt like it was going to explode. We pull up to a small run down houser.
"I'm not carrying you." He says scowling at me.
"I can walk." I hope. I follow him inside, my legs barely working. The inside was messy and cramped. There were no pictures on the wall. old plates of food and trashed littered everywhere. I continue following him through the house. He opens a door to reveal a clean bedroom. It was definitely one of the better parts of this house. There was a queen size bed shoved into a corner, it was made with navy blue covers. There was also a couch at the end of his bed with a desk, and a dresser with a mirror.
"You can sleep on the couch." He grumbles.
"Great. Thanks." I roll my eyes walking over to the couch where I collapse. Sleep normally would make the headaches go away, So I decide to give it a go. While I was waiting for my brain to turn off, I see Kai lay down in his bed and play in his phone. How did I get so lucky to get stuck with this jerk? As my eyes get heavier, I finally give in to the darkness.
