I look through the rack of clothing, frowning as nothing seemed to catch my attention.

"Is it just me or is there absolutely nothing good here?" Rylie says.

"There is nothing good here." I confirm.

"Let's just go eat." She pulls me to the food court.

I decide to get Chinese food while she gets Starbucks.

"Coffee isn't food Rylie." I say.

"It's food for me." She glares taking a sip.

"Whatever you say." I chuckle eating my own food.

"So how are things with the devil?" She asks.

"I think I'm making progress." I admit.

"So you guys aren't verbally abusing each other?"

"Oh no, that's still the same." I chuckle.

"You two just need to fuck and get it over with the sexual tension is to much." I nearly choke on my drink.

"Excuse me? Sexual tension? There is none of that trust me."

"Really? Have you really not noticed all the secret looks he gives you? Or how at lunch he will keep checking to see if you're eating? If I were you I'd be on that faster than a Karen asking for a manager."

I frown because whenever I sneaked my own peek at him he was to focused on his phone.

"Tell me haven't thought about kissing him." She says.

"He hasn't kissed anyone. I'm not gonna be his first." I whisper at her.

"Why not? Show him what he is missing." She winks at me.

"Absolutely not. Besides he hasn't kissed anyone made it pretty clear he doesn't want to kiss me Ry." I roll my eyes at her

"You keep telling yourself that. But I'm telling you Liv, you're breaking through his walls." She says confidently. Her eyes suddenly widen. "Or not." She adds.

"What?" I ask confused.

"Don't look." She says in a hurry when I go to turn around to see what she was looking at.

"Uh why?" I ask.

"Uhm.." her eyes were locked on whatever was behind me.

"Fuck it." I turn around to see what she was making a big deal about. When I see it my mouth falls open.

"Are they...holding hands?" I get out not believing the words.

"I swear that girl is a fucking snake." Ry says angrily.

I turn around before they see me staring. "Doesn't matter." I shrug.

"Oh come on. How can you say that? I don't know why you are denying your feelings for him." She makes a sour face.

"Can we just go?" I groan.

"Good idea." I throw my food away and we leave.

I can't believe he went out with her. I just wanted him to talk to her, not date her. Ry parks her car out front of Kai's.

"Are you okay?" She asks carefully.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I ask playing it cool.

"Uh because the guy you like is on a date with that whore?" She says bluntly.

"I told you I didn't like him. End of story. What do you think? Think it's not noticeable anymore?" I ask revealing my neck.

"Not if you know it's there. Why?"

"I'm just ready to go home. Let me go grab my stuff. Can you give me a ride home?" I ask.

"Sure, but are you sure?" She asks.

"Yup. Be back."

I go into the small room which was growing on me a little. I grab my bag taking one last look around the room, faint smile on my lips, I leave.
I hurry back out and she drives me home. When I enter no one is there. I knew they wouldn't be here since my parents always go on a date on Sunday. Who knows where Ty is. I head up to my room and decide to shower and put on comfy pajamas.

"Ah a real bed." I mutter climbing under my blankets.

~~~
I pretty much stayed in my room all of Sunday, and except for when my mom dragged me out to eat.
When my alarm clock goes off on Monday, I feel a dull throb in my head.
I get dressed in some sweat pants and a hoodie. I wasn't dressing to impress anyone.
"WOW you look like you climbed out of a dumpster." Ty comments.
"Tyler! Be nice to your sister." Dad scolds him.
"Fine, I think you look lovely today sis." He says giving a fake smile.
"Much better." Dad nods.
"Dad that was sarcasm." I groan.
"Shush sweet sister. Let us make our way to high school so we can further our education." Ty puts an arm around my shoulders.
Now we were all staring at him like he grew a second head. Once outside he immediately drops the act. "Okay what's wrong with you? The last time you dressed like this was when that dick for brains hurt you." He says.
"Nothing happened." I roll my eyes at him. "Now can we go before we are late?" I add getting into his car.
The pain in my head wasn't so bad I couldn't listen to my music. As soon as I turn it on Tyler groans.
The whole ride there he keeps complaining about the music but I ignore him. When we get there he parks in his usual spot next to Kai's truck, he was leaning against it watching us.
Before he even has the car in park I'm bolting out of it. I make a clean getaway and run up to Rylie.
"Did you raid your brother's closet?" She asks eyeing me.
"No Rylie. These are my actual clothes." I sigh.
"So is this some sort of statement piece or..?"
"I don't always have to dress all nice and girly you know."
"Ah, I get it." She says smirking.
"Get what?"
"This is because you saw. Jen and Kai together right? Show him what he is missing."
"Even if that were true this would not be the outfit to flaunt around in." I scoff at her audacity.
"I mean, maybe he likes when girls dress up like thugs." She laughs.
"Who likes girls who dress like thugs?" Ty comes over glaring. "And you, don't ever pull that shit again. Wait till I actually park." He scolds me.
"Oh man would you look at the time. I really gotta go." I run down the hall leaving a very confused Rylie, Tyler, and Kai.
Distance was good.
