I really didn't want to go back to his house, but I didn't want my parents to know about what happened. "Are you just going to stand there?" Kai asks annoyed.
"I'm deciding if I'd rather stick pins in my eyes or go with you."
"Go with the pins. Less trouble for me." He walks towards his truck.
"You know, it wouldn't kill you to be polite once in awhile." I say.
"It might. But we will never know. Are you going to get in the truck or not?" He asks. I would have said no, but a water droplet hits my nose and I didn't have a choice.
I sigh getting in. "I can't wait to go back home away from your rudeness." I say as soon as he gets in. He either didn't hear me or pretended not to hear me. Once we get back to his house, he actually gets me food.
"So what the hell was that at lunch?"
"It's none of your business."
"But it is. My friend nearly got jumped and you went and apologized to the asshole that caused it." He keeps his eyes on the tv.
"Again, none of your business. Do i need to spell it out for you?" I huff getting annoyed. That seemed to be the goal of today. See who could annoy Liv the most.
"Whatever." He grumbles. We eat in silence. I have to admit, this was probably the nicests time I've had with him. Because he wasn't opening his mouth to insult me or say something rude. When it's time for sleep, I struggle tossing and turning.
"Oh my god, stop moving." He groans sitting up to glare at me.
"I can't get comftorable." I whine.
"I just can't catch a break can i?" He mutters to himself.
"Maybe if you were a true gentleman, you'd let me sleep on the bed." I say.
"You are not sleeping in my bed. Ever." He glares once more.
~~~
The bruise on my jaw was almsot gone by day three, but not quite. "I need some magical cream or something."
"Hey at least he fed you last night." Riley says.
"Yeah I guess that's a plus. You know I couldn't get comftorable, so i said youd be a gentleman if you let me sleep in your bed. He told me that will never happen." I huff.
"Imean, I kind of get it. I wouldn't want a stranger sleeping in my bed."
"But i'm not even a stranger. He is friends with Ty." I groan.
'Liv, you're a bit strange, okay maybe a lot of strange. But I mean you insult the guy all the time." Riley chuckles.
"Shut up and go to class." I glare at her. This just makes her laugh more as she walks away. I make my way to the library since I had a free period. Sitting down I grab a book and get cozy in my chair. I was so lost in the book I hadn't noticed someone join me. It's not until he purposly bumps his knee into mine. Looking up I glare at him.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask angrily.
"Don't be that way baby. I don't know why you just can't forgive me." Evan says gently putting his hand on my thigh.
"Oh, I don't know Evan. Maybe because you fucked Jen on our anniversary! You mean absolutlry nothing to me."
"You don't mean that. I'm sorry I was a bad boy." His hand moves up a few inches. Immediately I try and push his hand away.
"Stop touching me. I swear to god i'll scream." I threaten. Where the fuck was the libraian?
"You won't be doing that." His hand clamps down over my mouth. Since I still had my book, I try hitting him in the head with it. "You want that video to get released? I suggest you stop." He sneers. Fuck me, I had no choice. My eyes fill with tears as his nasty hands grope me.
"I think she asked you to get the fuck off her." The voice was like a blessing in disguise. I open my eyes to see a pissed off Kai.
"How about you mind your own damn business?" Evan ask not bothering to look to see who it was. He still had bruises all over his face. Kai snatches him by the back of his shirt yanking him off and landing one good blow to his face.
"She said fuck off." With a bloody nose Evan leavs like a scaredy cat. I stay still in my seat heart hammering in my chest.
"Thanks." I finally mutter.
"Is that why you apoligized to him?" He asks crossing his arms over his chest frowning at me.
"What do you mean?"
"He said something about releasing a video. So he is blackmailing you?"
"Something like that."
"Does Tyler know?"
"No, and you can't tell him. I till just destroy him. Please tell me you won't tell him." I beg.
He slowly sits down where Evan had been sitting. "I won't, if you tell me what's on it."
"No, absolutely not." I glare.
"Then I'll tell him." He pulls his phone out to text Ty.
"Stop." I snatch his phone from his hands. Since I knew he'd easily be able to get it from me, I got to the extreme and shove it down my shirt.
"Did you just put my phone down your shirt?" he asks eyes darkening.
"Yes, yes I did. You can not tell him."
"All you have to do is tell what's on it. I might be able to help you."
"Why would you me? You hate me."
He rubs his jaw for a moment. "I don't necessarily hate you. It's just you remind me of someone who is no longer here."
"It's a video of my mom." I say, I'm not sure why I felt compelled to tell him. He waits for me to say more. "That's all I'm willing to share with you right now. Till I know I can truly trust you." I say looking back at my book.
"I guess that is fair enough. But keep in mind, I just saved you from that bastard. Pretty sure that makes me trustworthy." He stands up. Before he goes I give his phone back to him. I watch as he leaves because he confuses me. One minute he is extremely rude, then saves me and opens up to me a little, no doubt later he is going to be rude again.
