~Kai's POV~
It's been about an hour since I got home. I finally look away from my phone. She was asleep, or at least she looked like it. She looked peaceful, she had a bruise on her jaw, and it was getting darker. I can't believe Tyler actually asked me to do this. But he was my friend, my only friend. I didn't want to do anything to piss him off, I seen the kid fight, he was a warrior. I get up deciding to be nice since she was asleep. I grab a spare blanket and carefully put it on her before leaving the room.
God, I hated this house, there was trash everywhere, my foster parents never cleaned up after themselves. I sigh and start cleaning up the living room. After I finish, I sit on the couch and watch tv since there really wasn't anything else to do. About thirty minutes after school lets out Tyler shows up with a bag of clothes for her.
"I just don't understand why you can't take her home." I say frowning.
"It's complicated. Look, you saw me fight, let's just say if my dad sees her someone will die. Plus, my mom is kind of sensitive to this stuff." He explains.
"How long?"
"Just until the bruise goes away."
I scoff. "That could take days, maybe a even a week."
"I know. Like I said I owe you big for this. Just a fair warning thought, don't let her play her music. It's so sappy and annoying." He chuckles when I glare at him.
"She is in my room if you want to see her." I gesture towards my room. I follow behind him. When we enter, she was in fact not asleep, but blankly staring at the wall, it was a bit creepy.
"Liv?" Tyler says but she wasn't moving. Was there a dead teenage girl in my room? That wouldn't look good for me.
"Oh, she is a sleepwalker, but she hasn't done it in ages." He speaks. Oh, this just keeps getting better and better. Her eyes close and she looked asleep again. "Well, I need to go. I'll see you tomorrow." He leaves and I stand there staring at her. It kind of hurt looking at her, she reminded me so much of my little sister Jenny. She had that bubbly personality and wanted everyone to be her friend. I sigh and decide to take my own nap since school was exhausting.
~Liv's POV~
Stretching my limbs out I roll over and bam! I hit the floor groaning. Luckily the headache was gone. I slowly sit up and freak for a second because I didn't recognize where I was. "I hope that hurt." Kai mutters from his bed.
I glare at him from the floor. "Do you always have to be so rude?" I ask slowly getting up, grabbing the blanket. I frown at it because I'm pretty sure I didn't have it when I fell asleep, maybe he wasn't that mean.
"Your brother stopped by and left you some clothes." He points to the duffle bag on the floor. I look over at it for a moment before grabbing it. I open it to see he had gotten me school clothes but no pajamas. I sit back down pulling my phone out.
Liv: Save me! This guy is such an ass.
Ri: But a hot ass, right?
Liv: No comment...
Ri: Ha, you totally think he is a hottie ;)
Liv: Looks don't make up for a shitty personality.
"Do you have to breathe so loud?" He asks glaring.
"Would you prefer I didn't breathe at all?" I ask sarcastically.
"Actually, that'd be great."
"Why are you such an asshole to me? You don't even know me." I state angrily.
"I don't need to know you, to know you. You're like a spoiled little princess."
How dare he! "I am not." I grind my teeth.
"Whatever."
"I'm hungry." I announce.
"What do you want me to do about that?"
"I don't know. Be a good host and get me something to eat." Ho dumb could he be?
He scoffs at my words. "Get yourself something to eat. I'm not your waiter."
"Oh my god. You are seriously the rudest person I have ever met." I glare once more at him.
"The stay the hell away from me. Problem solved." I take a deep breath to calm down my nerves. This guy was definitely worse than Jen.
"Not solved. I'm stuck here till my face heals."
"Maybe you shouldn't have dated that jackass." That was it. I stand up grabbing my bag and throwing it at him. It hit right in the face.
"What the hell was that for?" He growls standing up.
"You don't get to sit there and judge me! You don't get to say these mean things to me. You don't know anything about me!" I would have stormed out, but I didn't have anywhere else to go. I throw myself onto the couch pulling the blanket over my head and I try to stifle my sobs. The room is silent, I have no idea what he is doing, and quite frankly I don't care.
~~~
The next day I woke up to it storming. Great, just like my mood. Yes, I was still pissed, I can't believe he had the nerve. I sit up and look over to see him still sleeping. I figured I had a few minutes to get changed. So, I grab my clothes turning my back to him. In retrospect, I should have just gone to the bathroom, but I didn't know where it was. After pulling my shirt on I turn around to see him wide awake staring at me.
