Chapter 26 Friends

Martin's POV

I can't believe it. I ruined my best friend's relationship. I always manage to ruin everything.

Jessica has been locked in her room for 5 days straight and has refused to come out . I think her friend came over on the day they broke up to try and make her feel better but it obviously hasn't worked because she still hasn't come out . I tried talking to her but she just kept kicking me out of her room. I'm actually not that upset that Julian and Jessica broke up because that would give me a chance to prove to Jessica how much I like her . But at the same time Jessica seems devastated and I don't think she's over him . I promised her I would talk to Julian and that's what I was gonna do .

I drove to where Julian was staying and immediately let myself in . Screw knocking or ringing a stupid doorbell. I usually just went straight ahead .

"Julian " I called out , no response

"Julian where are you , you little shithead" I called out again. This  time he came downstairs

"What the hell do you want" He said angrily

"Look , what you saw at the skatepark wasn't what you thought it was."

"Yeah right, I saw you guys making out"

"Dude, it was just a kiss and I was the one who imitated it ! Jessica likes you, a lot. And she's upset , she's been locked up in her room for 5 days straight"

"If she really liked me, then she wouldn't have even thought about hanging out with you."

"Dude , you're  jealous " I said in realization and bursted into fits of laughter

"Shut up. I'm not jealous" He said as his face turned pink

"You're f**king jealous man , Oh god , this is... this is hilarious " I said trying to catch my breath

"Dude it's either you shut up or get the fuck out of my house " He said getting pissed

"Fine, but why the hell did you break up with her? I mean you don't break up with someone just like that, and in a completely dramatic way, if I may add. And you certainly don't break up with someone over jealousy " I said sitting beside him on the stairs

"Please , I did you both a favor " He said and just looked down at his hands as if he was in deep thought .

"I always knew you had a thing for her. Ever since that dinner when you wouldn't talk to me. Every single time I held her or did anything, she would look over at you. She wanted to know how you would react. At the show the other night, she was staring at you the entire time. And then I saw you guys at the skatepark and you both looked so happy to be together and it just got me thinking, why am I even trying?"

"Dude , Jessica has got you whipped "I said and hit his back

"Do you want me to kick you out?" he said with a laugh

"Look man , I'm sorry okay , I don't think you should've broken up with her though " I said

"Neither do I, m but I took one for the team " He said with a smile

"I don't like her " But I was obviously lying .

"You can't lie to me man. You're a brilliant liar but I've known you way to long for to be fooled by that face " He laughed

"Whatever. Just end it on good terms . You killed her emotionally."

"Killed her emotionally? Dude , I'm not the only one who is whipped here " He said with a laugh

"Okay , fine. You win. But seriously, at least stay friends ?"

"I don't know if she would want to be friends with me "
