"Qrow!"

Ironwood, never breaking his gaze on Qrow, spoke to his officer. "Schnee, we'll discuss this incident back on my ship."

Winter's eyes grew and her jaw dropped. "But, Sir."

He turned to her. "Winter. Leave." His low voice demanded obedience and she complied.

"Yes sir." Winter salutes and passes Qrow who smirks and winks. He then shifts to me gesturing to the door. "Well? It's adult time now, children need to leave as well."

I smile and cross my arms. "You really don't remember do you?"

"No, Clearly not" He looks to everyone else wondering what he was missing.

Ozpin sighs at his behavior. "I would think you would at least remember your old partner, Henry Woodsvale."

He looked between me and Oz. "What's this got to do with her? You his side piece?"

I rolled my eyes to the back of my head. "No, you DumbASS, he was my master!" I shook my head appalled. "Gah! It amazes me that Henry actually tolerated you."

He finally got the hint that was thrown at him. "OOOOOHHHHH! You were that kid he found, Short Stack!" He snaps his fingers in finger guns in my direction.

"Yeah." I confirmed monotonal. Why was I eager to see this guy again?

His lips quirked up again. "Well, well look who grew up." He teased going full flirtation mode.

I scoff. "Whatever, can we please continue?" I waved my hand and focused back on our previous conversation before Winter left.

"Should you even be here for this?" Qrow asked Ozpin who clasped his hand together.

"I caught her up to speed on most of our situation. She's been helpful with our endeavor especially with the use of Mr. Woodsvale's network."

I saw Qrow frown at Henry's so-called network. Which made my nerves spike. Oh crap, what does Qrow know that I don't.

He doesn't act on it and lets it go. "Right, well, your little infiltrator isn't just another pawn. They are the one responsible for Autumn's condition." He turns away and grabs his flask. Uncapping it and taking a swig.

"What?" Glynda blinked in shock.

Once he finished his sip Qrow pivots back to face us. "Despite what the world thinks, we're not just teachers or generals or headmasters. The people in this room, the leaders of the other two academies. We're the ones that keep the world safe from the evils no one even knows about."

Qrow got into Ironwood's face. "It's why we meet behind closed doors. Why we work in the shadows. So you tell me James. When you brought your army to Vale, did you think that you were being discreet? Or did you just not give a DANMM." Ironwoods gaze against Qrow held strong.

"Discreet wasn't working." He goes into his breast pocket to pull out his scroll, setting it on the desk. The scroll connects to the holographic system, displaying the city of Vale, Amity Colosseum and his army. "I'm here because this is what was necessary." Ironwood moves over to the display gesturing to it.

Is that necessary? If the people of the world don't know of the dangers beyond, then the army traveling to Vale doesn't make any sense to them. It only raises questions and eventually panic.

Qrow, not liking his reason, snapped back, pointing at Oz. "You're here because Ozpin wanted you here. He made you a part of this inner circle and opened your eyes to the real fight that's in front of us."

"And I am grateful." He nodded.

"Oh well you got a real funny way of showing it." Qrow's voice dripped with sarcasm.

The General stands firm and proud. "The people of Vale needed someone to protect them. Someone who would act."

I step in. "Act on what? As far as the people are concerned, they are trying to enjoy a festival and tournament. Now, they have a huge army radiating over their heads." I tilt my head over to Qrow. "I don't want to agree with a drunkard, but he has a point. I believe we're being overly cautious and showing our hand too early to the enemy. And I think you should apologize to Ozpin. You just insulted him saying that he can't protect his own city."

Ironwood looks away and sighs. "That wasn't my intention. I just wanted the people to feel safe and the enemy to feel our strength."

Qrow laughs. "Hahaha You think they're scared of your little ship's. I've been out there and seen the things she's made and let me tell you, they are fear."

Yeah, I've come across some crazy Grimm in my day, and they can be horrifying.

"And fear will bring the Grimm." Ozpin stands from his seat. "Miss Woodsvale is correct. A guardian is a symbol of comfort. But an army is a symbol of conflict. There's an energy in the air now. A question in the back of everyone's minds. If this is the size of our defenses. What is it we're expecting to fight."

Ironwood could feel the forces against him. I almost feel bad, everyone makes mistakes and this mistake is being thrown in his face. He sighs and swipes his scroll off the table. "So then, what would you say we do?"

I want you to take your bags and your little ships and F*** Off!

"I suggest we find our guardian."
