HEART CONFUSION

RICHIE'S POV

When I woke up, it felt like my mouth was dry, as if I had been drooling. It felt like I had traveled to a distant place, and I was extremely thirsty.

"Kirk? Are you awake?" That was the first thing Freen, my fiance's twin sister, ask  me.

"Doc? My brother is awake..." She shouted, her voice filled with panic as she called for the doctor. So I held her hand, causing her to turn to look at me.

"Can I have some water? I'm thirsty." Those were the first words that came out of my mouth because I felt like my throat was drying up at any moment.

"Ah, yes, of course." She quickly responded to my request, took the mineral water on the table, opened it, and gave it to me to drink.

"Are you okay, Kirk?" I paused in drinking when I heard that voice, so I immediately looked for its source with my eyes.

"Becky?" I whispered softly, just enough for them to hear it.

She approached me and wiped the sweat off my forehead with a towel.

"Do you remember who did this to you?!" There was anger in her voice as she asked me that.

"Uh... What?" I just closed my eyes for a moment because I couldn't remember what happened to this body before it was brought to the hospital.

"Don't you remember anything?" She covered her mouth and turned her gaze to Freen. "Does this mean both of you have amnesia?"

She leaned against the wall as she said that in front of us, causing Freen to look at her.

"I do remember some things, but it's still vague... Don't overreact!" Freen retorted to Becky, who just smirked at her.

"Fine! Why so angry?" Becky complained. I couldn't help but smirk, knowing that if I hadn't hesitated to enter Kirk's body,  things wouldn't have turned out this way. But I can't meddle in their lives. How can I do that? Becky and Freen might be in danger if I don't do anything and just sit around.

"I want to rest, can you leave me alone?" I pleaded with them. I want to think. This is my chance to find the people who killed Freeya, especially me. But what if Kirk's body gets harmed because of what I do?

"Okay, Kirk, Becky and I will leave, okay?"

They were about to leave when I grabbed Becky's arm to stop them. So she paused and looked at me with confusion.

"Why?" She asked me.

But I pulled her closer and hugged her without hesitation, while Freen stood there with her mouth open, staring at the two of us.

"I miss you," I whispered to her. I really missed my twin. It's only now that I've hugged her again.

"Hey! What are you doing to Becky?!" Freen angrily pulled Becky away from my arms, so I just smirked quietly, knowing that she was jealous because of the hug.

"Oh! Are you really okay, Kirk?" Becky asked hesitantly. I don't want to get caught. I need to come up with an excuse.

"Ah, well... I just miss Becky. It's been a while since I've talked to her, right, Freen?" I said with a smile to Freen, but she just gave me a glare.

"Even so? She's mine." There was a threat in her voice as she said that to me.

"Fine, okay, you can go out now, both of you."

Freen immediately pulled Becky out of my ward. As they left, Freen turned back to look at me, raising an eyebrow. I couldn't help but laugh quietly at what she did. When they were gone, I shifted my gaze to the ceiling. I couldn't believe I was given a chance to live again, even if it was just in Kirk's body.

"How are you?"

I almost fell off the bed when "Guide" suddenly appeared in front of me like a ball.

"What is it? you give me a heart attack with what you're doing?" I frowned at her as she sat in front of me.

"You know, you're lucky," she said.

"Why?" I asked her, puzzled.

"Because you were given a chance to live, even in someone else's body..."

I could feel the sadness in her eyes. Does she really not remember how she died back then?

"Don't you have anything familiar in the world of mortals?"

"Uhm... I don't know? I don't remember if I had a mom and dad who I miss here in the world of the living," she said sadly, bowing her head in front of me. But if Almighty Creator gave me a chance to remember them... I want to embrace them even for the last time."

I suddenly felt sad because of what she said. I'm still lucky that I was given a chance to hug my twin. Unlike her, who can't remember anything.

"So, what about you? SHe's pointed her finger in my chest," she said. "Value what you have now because there will come a time when it can be taken away from you."

I nodded at her and forced a smile.

"I'll do that. Oh, by the way..."

"Uhm..."

"Can I give you a name?" I saw her surprise at what I said.

"A name? But-"

I didn't let her finish.

"Freeya. I want you to have that name for now."

"Freeya?"

SHe repeated the name, causing me to pause for a moment as my heart started beating faster.  the pain returned when I heard her mention Freeya's name in front of me. And Freeya's memories slowly started coming back to me like a broken record, so I held my head and felt weak...

"What's happening to you?"

I could feel her hand holding my shoulder, and those touches felt familiar to me.

"Freeya?"

The name just slipped out of my mouth, and it was the only thing I could say. The woman I loved so much, even until now... Thankfully, I pressed the intercom button on the side.

"H-help me, please!"

Even though I was weak because of the headache, I forced myself to speak. Until I didn't know what was happening anymore.
