Chapter 55

Like the previous day, we all ended up sleeping in his room again.

My eyebrows scrunched as I heard the same noise again.

It got louder.

My eyes shot open as I quickly sat up and I looked around the dark room in my disoriented, sleepy state.

"No." A voice spoke. Startled, I let out a gasp.

It was Ya Muhammad's voice.

I breathed out "um..you're awake?"

"Stop. No."

I blinked in confusion as I reached my hand out towards the night lamp on the bedside next to me to turn it on.

When the faint light lit the room I turned to look at him and his eyes were closed, his face in a frown, he looked disturbed.

He was having a dream.

I let out a sigh, moving to turn off the light when he spoke again.

"No. Stay with me. Don't go."

He started shaking his head slowly.

"No" His voice got louder and the twins started to squirm in their sleep.

I slowly stood up from the bed to walk to his side.

I leaned down closer to him to wake him up.

"Um..Y-..umm..Muhammad" I said.

"Wake up." I added

He shook his head harder.

"It's ok"

His arms reached out for something, me being the closest thing to him, he grabbed my arms, pulling me closer to him and I gasped.

"Don't leave. I'm sorry."

Despite knowing that he wasn't directly speaking to me I replied him "I won't, please wake up, you'll wake up the twins and they'll get scared" I whispered, my face a few inches from his.

His eyes clenched as he shook his head.

Forget the twins, he was starting to scare me.

I shook him and his breaths started getting heavier "...Muhammad, please wake up"

"Afra!"

I pursed my lips to stop my tears, feeling bad for him.

"Please-...you-you can't die-.." his voice broke at the end and I couldn't keep my tears in anymore.

I sniffed as I shook my head "please wake up"

His eyes shot open.

My silent sobs increased .

"You're here, Afra...you're here, with me."

I didn't know what to say to him so I nodded.

He pulled me on top of him and he hugged me.
