Chapter 79: Vormir 2014

Clint's P.O.V

After a long flight in the space ship, Nat and I finally make it to the planet Vormir.

This planet that has the Soul Stone.

Natasha and I stand to look out of the window.

Clint: Under different circumstances this would be totally awesome.

She nods.

Natasha: So true.

(Ten minutes later)

After landing the ship, Nat and I walk up and mountain.

We manage to make it to the top, but we're out of breath.

Natasha: I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb the mountain.

Clint: You know he's not technically a raccoon.

Natasha: Oh whatever, he still eats garbage.

???: Welcome.

We both turn I pull out my sword and Nat pulls her gun out.

She and I see a being with a red skull and a black clock infront of us.

Red skull: Natasha, daughter of Ivan. Clint, son of Edith.

Natasha: Who are you?

Red skull: Consider me a guide. To you, and all who seek the soul stone.

Natasha: Oh good. You tell us where it is and we'll be on our way.

Red Skull: Oh, if only it were that easy.

The Red Skull leads us to the edge of the mountain.

He then tells us that the only way to get the Soul Stone is for one of us to die. A soul for a soul.

Nat and I both back off to take a minute to think about all of this.

Natasha goes over to a log and sit down.

Clint: Alright, how do we even know this guy is telling us the truth?

Natasha: He is.

Clint: Why's that? Because he knew your daddy's name.

She looks over to me.

Natasha: I didn't. Thanos left here with the stone and without his daughter, that's not a coincidence.

I sigh.

Clint: Yeah.

There's a moment of silence between us.

Natasha: Whatever it takes.

Clint: Whatever it takes.

Nat stands and comes over to me.

Natasha: If we don't get that stone billions of people stay dead.

Clint: Well then, I guess we both know who it's gotta be.

Natasha: Yeah, we do.

Clint: I'm starting to get the feeling we mean different people here. Nat, you can't do this.

Natasha: Clint, you have a family. I've been waiting for three years to get to this moment. That's all it's been about bringing everyone back.

She and I start arguing over who has more blood on their hands and who should give their life for the Soul Stone.

We lean forward and put our foreheads together.

Clint: Tell my family that I love them.

Just then Natasha grabs me anf throws me to the ground.

Natasha: Tell them yourself, Clint.

She hits me with a Widow stinger to stun me.

Clint: Ahh!

Third person prospective

Barton manages to recover from being stunned.

He quickly jumps up and fires an explosive arrow near Natasha.

The blast knocks of her down.

Clint takes this opportunity to run and jump of the edge of the mountain.

As he's about to fall down, Romanoff jumps and grabs him.

Hawkeye uses his arrow and a cable to wrap up Nat up.

She quickly turns it around on him and sticks him to the side of the mountain.

Before Nat could fall, Clint grabs her hand.

Clint's P.O.V

Nat and I are now hanging on the side of the mountain.

I try and break out of the cable but it's too stong.

Clint: Damn it, Nat! Please, Nat, don't do this. You can't. People still need you.

She looks at me with tears in her eyes.

Natasha: It's okay. It's okay, Clint. Just let me go.

I feel the tears streaming down my face.

Clint: No! No, I can't.

Natasha: You have to. It's okay. Stay alive and go back home to your family.

Nat kicks herself off the mountain and falls to her death.

Natasha: No!!

I then get hit by a blinding light and black out.

(Five minutes later)

When I come to, I sit up and see that I'm laying in a lake.

I'm still on Vormir too.

I look down at my hand to see that I have the Soul Stone in my hand.

After have a minute or so to somewhat process what just happened, I stand up and activate my time travel suit.

I then head back to the Compound.

I need to make sure Natasha didn't die for nothing.
