Mell POV

Thank you god that it's Friday, I couldn't take school anymore. This week has me tired as shit.

I stared at the clock and waited for the long hand to hit the 12, which seemed forever.

The bell finally rang and I slung my bag over my shoulder before leaving the classroom.

I saw Josiah walking with some girl and I smirked.

Taught lil' cuz right.

I saw Tamia and I crept up behind her. I wrapped my arms around her and lifted her in the air as I spun her around.

She shrieked and I put her back on the ground

"Zarmell !"

She playfully pushed me and I wrapped my arm over her shoulder.

"I forgot how scary you were.", I laughed.

"Shut up, but guess what ?"

"Wassup ?"

"I just got a new car.", She smiled.

I kissed her forehead, "That's cool, what about your old one ?"

"I don't care for it anymore but can you take me to get it tomorrow ? You have to wake up early though."

We started walking towards my car, "Who else was going to take you ?"

"Well, I did have Tonio, or maybe Jason can-"

I stopped walking and stared at her, "Keep playing if want to."

"I'm just kidding babe."

I unlocked the car doors before we got inside.

I closed my door last and saw Jasmine standing around like she was waiting for someone.

I opened my door.

"Mell-"

"Just hold up real quick."

I got out the car and started walking up to her.

"Wassup Jasmine ?"

"Hey Mell."

"You need a ride ?"

She finally looked up from her phone and shook her head.

"No it's okay, but thank you."

"Jasmine it wouldn't be a problem if-"

"Mell it's okay, I promise.", She reassured, "You have your girlfriend waiting on you."

"Text me when you get home alright ?"

"Okay father."

"Nope, correction. It's daddy."

She shook her head before laughing, "Bye Mell."

I stuck both my hands in my pocket before walking away from her.

I got back inside my car before starting the ignition.

"So what was that about ?"

I glanced over at Tamia before pulling out the parking lot.

"Don't start Tamia."

"What you mean don't start ?"

"Meaning don't start no petty argument in this car and by this car, I mean vehicle. I think that should be simple enough for you."

"Excuse me ?", She exclaimed.

I ignored her as I kept driving and I guess she took the hint because we drove in silence for the rest of the ride.
