Two Weeks Later
Shai POV
I was stocking the newly arrived shoes on the shelf and I just so happen to come across the new Jordans. I have to remind myself to buy those for Josiah.
"Shai I need you !"
"Speaking of the devil himself."
"No time for your smart puns, let me hide behind the counter."
"Are you crazy ? I'm not getting fired from your menace situations."
I walked away from him and behind the counter to make a check off my list.
"Shai I got Big Meech on my ass right now, quit play-"
"I'm not playing Josiah ! Maybe if you never got your ass in this mix up than you wouldn't be running from some big ass dude."
He slid over the counter, pushing me back.
"Josiah get from-"
I saw three skinny dudes walk inside. None of them looked older than twenty except one, and that was the dude walking towards me while the other two stood back.
"Hello, do you need help-"
"I'm looking for someone.", He pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of Josiah.
"You seen this kid ?"
I shook my head.
He licked his lips before resting his elbows on the counter.
"Now see, you seem like a smart girl.", He reached out and and touched my cheek, "Now don't play stupid with me. I don't like to be fooled."
"I didn't see him.", I clarified.
He laughed before backing up, "Tell him I stopped by."
He nodded towards his friends and they walked out, but not before knocking some shoes over.
"Now that's just childish as fuck !", I yelled behind them.
What kind of name is Big Meech and he's the size of a toothpick ?
"Is he gone ?"
I ignored Josiah and went to go put the shoes back on display.
"I'm sorry Shai."
He started helping me pick up the shoes.
"What happened ?"
I looked up to see it was Damon.
"An accident.", I said.
"Everything's good ?", He asked.
Josiah just got done putting the last on the shelf.
"Um yeah, this is my brother Josiah. Josiah this is my manager Damon."
They dapped each other, "Well I'm going to head towards the back.", Damon said.
"Shai I promise I'll make it-"
"It's alright, just go."
He surprised me by giving me a hug, "Thanks."
I hugged him back, "Whatever, just be safe out there."
He walked off.
"Love you Joey !", I yelled behind him.
He flicked me off and continued walking.
