Katherine shakes her head. "No"

"The cops must have some ideas"

"Yeah, we.... we don't really trust the cops," Katherine told him.

"Who's we?"

"Me and some of Alison's friends"

"You're the one she was the closet too. Right? She talked about you. She said you were really good at keeping secrets. But there are four of you, right?"

"She talked about us?"

Duncan nodded his head. "Yes. She talked about you guys a lot"

"Did she ever... I don't know... about anyone else? Someone that she might've been afraid of?"

Duncan looked around for a moment and then back to Katherine. "Look, maybe we shouldn't be talking about this here"

"Did you only meet her in that bookstore?"

"No. No, we spent a lot of time together that summer"

"In Brookhaven?" Katherine asked.

"Near Brookhaven"

"Well, I-I could meet you there," Katherine said.

"I'll call you," Duncan said and was about to walk away but stopped and turned back to Katherine. "The weekend you said she disappeared... I saw her that weekend" he said and then walked away.

Katherine watched him walk away. "Holy fuck" she mumbled and got up.

Katherine was walking with the others.

"Duncan saw Ali that weekend?"

"Are we sure we believe him?" Hanna asked.

Katherine sighs. "He-he was all torn up when I told him she was dead. He couldn't have been faking that"

"Em, you okay?" Hanna asked noticing Emily was a little behind them.

"Sure"

The five of them then saw Garrett rush away in his car in a hurry.

"Why is Garrett in such a hurry?"

Everyone's phone went off except Hanna's since she's got a new one.

Katherine sighs and takes her phone out and reads the 'A' text.

"Where there's smoke, there's payback 'A" Emily read off.

Aria and Katherine then noticed the fire department at Toby's.

"Wait. What's going on?"

Katherine shrugs her shoulders but doesn't say anything.

"I don't know"

"What are they talking to the fire department about?" Aria asked curiously.

"They're talking about that night"

"The Jenna thing," Spencer said.

"Are you serious?"

"Why would he say something now when it was like 2 years ago" Katherine said.

"What could Toby be telling them?"

"That we were the ones who blinded Jenna?"

"Alison and us," Emily said.

Katherine was sitting on a bench outside with Spencer's back against her front and she was reading a book, and Katherine had her chin on her shoulder and her hands were placed in Spencer's lap.
