Hayes pov
Me and Rocket are cool hanging out at my house because we usually invite Everest, Neil, Avery and Bryce over and go in the movie room and just watch cartoons. I invite Asher and he says "Not tonight" or "Sorry I can't" and I'm getting worried for him. He hasn't been doing his work so I do it for him, he's not taking care of our son so I do it, he hasn't been inviting me over or coming over and all this is so unlike him but when I ask him "What's wrong?" He says "It's noting" and I'm feeling left out, it's definitely something and something that Dakota knows, I know Dakota is his brother but I'm his boyfriend so I want to know to. We're entering the third week that I still don't know what's going on and I'm really feeling anxious about this
Asher's pov
I have dark circles under my eyes and I feel sick, I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but my heart can't take this much stress. The way Hayes looks at me makes it worse because he wants to know and I want him to know but I won't tell him because he won't understand and he'll get the wrong idea. I was brushing my teeth this morning when I got a call from him
Asher: Hello?
Hayes: Hey Smiley
Asher: Hey
Hayes: Whatcha doing
Asher: Brushing my teeth
Hayes: Oh, can you tell me what's going on now?
Asher: I told you there's nothing going on, I'm fine
Hayes: But your not though and you're not letting me help you be actually fine

Hayes: I'm being serious, how come Dakota knows but I can't
Asher: Dakota doesn't know and you don't know because there's nothing to know
Hayes: And now your lying right to my face and you don't even care
Asher: Just drop it, I'll be over to pick you up in a little

Hayes pov
"Hello?" I guess he hung up on me, I got Rocket ready and got myself ready and waited for Asher, he came after like 5 minutes and I got in the car
Hayes: ....Hey
Asher: ....Hey
Hayes: ....Why'd you hang up on me?
Asher: ....I dunno
Hayes: ....I changed Rockets bow tie
Asher: ....Wow
Hayes: .....what's wrong?
Asher: Don't start
Hayes: No really, what's wrong?

Hayes: Stop keeping everything bottled up! I'm supposed to be here to take away your stress but I can't if you don't let me

Asher: Just drop it!
Hayes: Come on! Let me in! Tell me what's going on so I can help!
Asher: I don't want to argue right now, Rockets listening
Hayes: Then it doesn't have to be a argument, what's so hard about letting me know what's going on?
Asher: There's nothing going on
Hayes: You said it was though, stop putting this wall up between us
Asher: I'm not putting a wall up, if I told you you wouldn't get it
Hayes: Then help me get it! Help me understand don't just leave me in the dark about it

Hayes: Asher?....are you gonna tell me?
Asher just sits back in his seat and doesn't say anything, we haven't left my driveway yet so he's getting ready to start driving to school "Really?" I ask because he's obviously not gonna tell me, he just looks at me and I can see his eyes get moist so reach over and hug him, he started to tell me what was wrong but all I heard was sound effects because his face was in my chest and his voice was drowned out
Hayes: It's okay my love don't cry
Asher: *sniff*
Hayes: Now tell me what's wrong
Asher: *sniff* Okay *sniff* So you told me to stop hanging out with Mason because of the rumor *sniff*
Hayes: Yes?
Asher: And I was gonna *sniff* but if he asks why I stopped hanging out with him I won't know what to say because it's not his fault and he's nice and I don't want to hurt his feelings because we're friends! *sniff*
Hayes: So your stressing out because you don't know if you should do what I said or keep hanging out with Mason
Asher: See I told you you wouldn't get it! That's not what I'm saying at all! Just forget it it's nothing
Hayes: No don't give up on me, help me get it
Asher: Okay, *sniff* I want to do what you said but I feel bad for just dropping Mason without a explanation
Hayes: Oh okay I think I understand now, You don't have to drop him, I was just saying to stop being so friendly to him because that's encouraging the rumor
Asher: But I don't know how to do that without being mean! THIS IS TO FREAKING STRESSFUL! I feel like crying and throwing stuff bro
Hayes: Well you already did one of those, but if it makes you feel any better we can come up with a compromise

Me and Dakota we're walking down the hallway together when we passed this group of guys that sit in the hallway and do absolutely nothing, they're all gonna be working at fast food restaurants and their kids are gonna be in single parent households aka not with them. They sexualize every girl that walks by them so I should've known they'd say something to Dakota "Smash" "I've been trying to get with her since seventh grade" they said as we walked pass "Who me?"
