I don't wish for life to end yet,
But if Death came quickly, I would understand the benevolence.I don't seek an end to my days,
But if Death did come, I'd accept it in my own unique way.I don't want to see the darkness soon,
But if Death did come, I wouldn't cry or swoon.I don't want to leave this life behind,
But if Death were to come, I would resign.I don't want to give up control,
But if Death were to come, I'd accept what I'm told.I don't want things to be cut short,
But if Death were to come, I would comfort with a retort.I don't want to be gone before long,
But if Death were to come, I would remain composed and strong.-----------------------------------------------------------
Well, we have yet another one about death. How lovely! A lot of these poems are ones that I wrote in my notes app and copied down here. -Pip
