(OLD) "Alright make a wish. Hurry up!" Mum yelled. I nodded thinking of my wish. I blew out the fire from the candle on the cupcake. It was only mum and I because dad was well dad. He didn't want to celebrate my birthday. I just turned eleven. But know one really cares. I look at mum and fake a smile. "What did you wish for?" She asked. "You wouldn't like it." I shrugged. "Tell me now." Mum said sternly. "I wish I wasn't me!" I yelled. "Everyone else has a dad who loves them and actual lives, me I live in a closet in a garage! My mum is abused from my own father who I never saw or could ever love. I want a different life." I yelled. Good think dad was out. "Like Harry Potter." Mum whispered. I nodded quietly crying. "Too bad Hagrid or Dumbledore can't just show up."

I write a lot of short stories. Most of them, however, are completely awful and stink like skunks. Yeah, you liked that simile? There will be more awful uses of literary terms inside.
