The officer's words echoed in my ears like thunder, leaving me dumbfounded.

I was under arrest for defending my sister?

"T-take me to her!"

My voice quivered as I pleaded, begging for a glimpse of Si-Yeon.

The cop simply shook his head, ignoring my desperate plea.

"No, kiddo. You're coming with us."

I struggled against the cuffs, but they only dug deeper into my wrists.

"I want to see her,"

"Calm down, or we'll tase you."

"Fucking hell,..."

My voice cracked, and I went silent, defeated.

As I was dragged away from the scene, I couldn't help but glance at the fallen gang members, hoping they'd share their misery.

In the back of the police car, I sat in silence, my world shattered into a million pieces.

Si-Yeon... I'd promised to keep her safe, stay by her side, and yet, we both ended up in this mess.

As the car drove away from the school, I couldn't help but think of the consequences that awaited me.

Suspension from school, damaged reputation, family shame, and possible imprisonment.

All because I defended my sister.

The officer driving the car turned to look at me, his eyes hard and unyielding.

"You're lucky this isn't worse,"

He grunted, glancing back at the road.

"We have footage from the cameras in the school. It's clear self-defense, but you still attacked them."

"I'll take any punishment,"

I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper.

"As long as she's alright."

The cop snorted, seemingly unimpressed by my stoicism.

"You're one hell of a naïve kid. This isn't over yet, not by a long shot."

Despite his words, I felt oddly calm, almost detached from the situation.

This was it. Everything I'd worked for crumbled around me because of my protectiveness over Si-Yeon.

"We'll see how it goes,"

I said, looking out the window at the blurry scenery passing by.

As we arrived at the station, I was escorted inside, feeling a vague sense of pride despite my impending doom.

I had defended Si-Yeon, and nothing could change that.

In the interrogation room, I waited nervously for the detective assigned to my case.

After a few minutes, an older man with piercing blue eyes and black hair entered the room. He reminded me of him somehow, that man who didn't deserve the title of a father.

His sharp gaze swept over me, taking in every detail of my appearance.
