Their Little Witch

Chapter 28

Elijah POV. 💚

I stood there as I watched her call out into the darkness as the moon rised. She called but no answered. I could sense someone there but instead of who she thought it was Niklaus and the others emerged from the direction we came from and slowly came to stand next to me.

We stood as our darling Geneviève called out to her cousin in the darkness as we felt her heart slowly breaking. Soon the rain started to fall and Geneviève was in tears.

   "She was there. Why didn't she come out from the trees?" She says with tears in her eyes.

   "I don't know darling but we must go." I said taking her hand. 

   Geneviève didn't move from that spot staring into the trees. I had to end up picking her up and taking her back to the car. Once placing her into her seat, I saw that she fell asleep.

   "I got her." Damon says and held her while she slept.

   As we left the area we soon saw that it was only raining up in the mountains. As I looked at our princess,  I knew she is the full embodiment of power and we'll have to protect her no matter the cost.

   "We're going to Chicago. I need to know what went wrong." Klaus says

   "Niklaus, we can't keep driving everywhere with her. No one knows of her yet and we need to keep it that way." I tell him

   "I understand but if I can perfect making hybrids, no one on earth will be able to touch her." He says

   "Maybe half us should go back to Mystic Falls with her and you stay on searching for answers." Damon suggests

   "That might not work. She's drawn to you all, she would want to stay by you all. And given the choice that's what she'll choice." Katherine says

   "Also, it wasn't only us up there in those mountains and she knew it. What would they get out of having her back there?" Kol adds

   "She stays with us. There's no discussion about it. With us all together we can protect her." Klaus says not wanting to hear any of this conversation.

   "Klaus, even though you don't want to hear it he's right. Having her come along with you on this wild goose chase, is putting her in danger. You saw what she did back there, she can't control her magic yet. Her traveling without controlling it is doing more harm than good." Katherine says

   After the car sat in silence as we all thought of Geneviève's safety.

    Geneviève POV 🧡

Soon I woke up to being held in Damon's lap sitting in the car.

   "Where are we?" I asked him

   "We're in Chicago." He says

As I sat up and regain my focus I noticed we were the only two in the car. As I looked out the window it looks as if we're in the parking lot of a bar.

   "Are they in there?" I asked

   "Yeah. Klaus went to go ask some witch about what went wrong with the hybrids." He explains

   "So why are we in the car? You guys could have woken me up." I say now sitting in my own seat.

   "We didn't want to wake you plus we don't trust her enough to bring you in there. Just being near another witch they can sense your magic just like werewolves can sense each other." He continues to explain.
