Your POV :
You stepped outside and walked along the empty streets with closed shops,dim lights guiding you through.
Suddenly you heard a rustle."Who's there?!" You asked,turning back."Rest well Lady Y/N,it is I,Lan XiChen" XiChen said,hands slightly raised as if to seek innocence.
You bowed,"My apologies Zewu-Jun" to which he replied that it was okay. "What brings you out here?" You asked.
"I could ask you the same,Lady Y/N" he said. You sighed,remembering the horrid dream you had. "It is not much,just needed some fresh air"
XiChen noted you didn't want to push further and asked "well then,care to walk with me?"
You nodded and you two walked side by side,you looking away to hide your blush. "I'm hungry" you blurted. He chuckled,"well there might not be any shops open but we can check".
You two walked for a while,your hand slightly brushing against xichens.Until,you saw a bright-ish light,the sounds of sizzling and the delicious smell making you drool.
XiChen noticed that, "well,guess we found one.Lets see what they sell" you grabbed his hand and ran,fast.within a few minutes,you two were in front of the stall.
There was an old man working there,humped back."Young Lady,Zewu-Jun" the old man greeted. "What shall you two like?" He asked.
Xichen looked at you and nodded,signalling for you to order.You looked around,the aroma lifting your senses.
"Ooh..it all looks good." After a minute of deciding,you chose to order one bowl of 蛋炒饭 (egg fried rice) and two 春卷 (spring rolls).
"One 蛋炒饭 and two 春卷 coming right up!" The old man said before frying the egg fried rice in front of you two,heating up the spring rolls in a 'wok' (chinese sort of pan) with oil,expertly tossing them up and down.
Within 10 or so minutes,both of the dishes were served,steamy and hot. "Thank you!" You thanked,ready to pull out your money from your sleeve when XiChen gripped your arm lightly.
"Allow me Y/N" XiChen said before handing the old man some money,making sure to leave a good tip.
"My My,you two are such a cute couple!" He chuckled,a smile adorning his (wrinkled sorry not sorry) face.
You two blushed,you more than XiChen. "E-Eh?!S-S-Sir,w-we are not a-a couple!" You said,waving your hands in front of your face.
"Ohh?Im sorry miss,you two were acting really cute I thought you two were dating!" He pledged.
After that embarrassing talk with the vendor,you and XiChen walked,each of you munching on a spring roll and XiChen insisted on holding the paper plate of egg fried rice.
You left the spring roll in your mouth,trying to grab something in your sleeve,when all of a sudden your spring roll dropped on the ground.
You stared at it as you stopped walking,XiChen looking at your sad face.
"L-Lady Y-Y/N,please don't cry."He tried to consult you.he looked at his spring roll before breaking off the part where he took the bite out from,giving you the rest.
You blushed,hard,face like a tomato."Z-Zewu-Jun! Y-You don't have to give me yours" he smiled "it's alright,you being sad makes me sad so I shall do whatever to make you happy"
