Lois had reached the end of her chemo treatments which meant she got to ring the bell, Kate had tears in her eyes as her mother rang the bell. Clark had planned on doing something fun with the kids as their mother had gone to talk to Peia at the D.O.D. The boys however wanted to go to a party with Sarah rather than hang out with their dad.

"He seemed pretty excited to hang," Jordan added looking at Jon

"Just let me handle it, okay? I'll let him down easy," Jon spoke to his twin

"Who wants Monster Trucks? Tonight! Mega Trucks in Metropolis, no holds barred!" Clark greeted as he came in

"Did you buy a shirt?" Jon asked looking at the shirt

"Yeah! It's Bam the Bulldozer! Guys, come on! We used to go all the time when we lived in Metropolis," Clark cheered with excitement

"Good luck, Jon," Kate mumbled looking at the boy

"What's going on?" Clark asked in confusion

"Uh, well, that sounds cool, uh, but we kind of already have plans," Jon admitted in a slow tone

"What? I thought we had plans," Clark asked as his face dropped

"Well, I mean, we had plans to have plans, but now something's come up. Candice was gonna come down and we were gonna hang with her and Sarah," Jon explained making Clark nod

"Yeah, just super low-key," Jordan added in agreement

"What? I just thought it'd be fun for us to all spend some time together," Clark admitted looking at them

"Yeah, well, we'll do something else more fun real soon, I promise and we kind of have to get going," Jon spoke before they started to walk out

"Okay, yeah. Um, um, tell the girls hi," Clark mumbled in disappointment

"Thanks anyway, Dad," Jordan mumbled to the man

"We could still go together," Kate suggested to her father who smiled

"Oh, a daddy-daughter date?" Clark questioned his daughter

"Never told old to have one but can we take the car because I get motion sick when you fly," Kate agreed with a smile

"Yes, we can drive," Clark agreed grabbing his keys

Kate had loved going to the truck jam with her dad since she loved watching all the trucks smash into each other. They had ended up having an amazing time at the show before Clark had to go to the D.O.D to supervise Lois and Peia. Kate was over at Marcus' house watching a movie as Clark went to the D.O.D.

"How was the Monster Trucks?" Marcus asked looking at her

"Mega Jam was fun and it was nice to spend some time with my dad," Kate responded with a smile

"I bet it was nice to get out of town for a few," Marcus suggested as she nodded

"Yeah, it was but then Dad had to go be Superman," Kate whispered before he nodded

"Having Superman for a dad can be tricky, couldn't it?" Marcus asked with a soft look

"Yeah, but it helps to know that he's out saving and taking care of people so it's worth it," Kate explained with a smile

"That's a good way to look at it," Marcus commented as she nodded

"Sucks that Jon and Jordan blew him off to hang out with Sarah and Candice," Kate spoke with a look

"Your brothers blew your dad off for a party," Marcus informed causing her to scoff

"Jerks," Kate mumbled making her chuckle before kissing her

Kate chuckled before kissing him back, Kate had let out a soft groan when he pulled away because his phone buzzed. Thirty minutes later, Kate had gone home since it was getting late and dinner time. As they were eating dinner, Kyle had shown up to call out Jon for having powers even though he was wrong about which kid it was.
