Kate walked up to Marcus who seemed a bit upset or down and she was hoping that she could cheer him up, she felt bad that he had to hear secondhand about his father's cheating on one of the biggest nights of his life. She had a wide smile as she started walking up to the locker in hopes it would let him know that she wasn't judging him on the matter.

"Mas," Kate greeted as she walked up to him

"Hey, Kate," Marcus greeted in a soft tone

"So I was thinking that after school we could go out to eat," Kate suggests with a smile

"I'm probably just going home and playing video games," Marcus corrected his girlfriend

"Oh well, maybe I could play with you?" Kate asked looking at him

"I understand what you are trying to do but I kinda wanna be left alone for the day," Marcus admitted making her nod

"Okay," Kate mumbled before walking off

"Are you sure it's a good idea to be playing?" Jordan asked his twin

"Dude, relax It's gonna be fine," Jon stated with a chuckle

"What if you have an ocular discharge?" Jordan questioned in a hushed voice

"Please don't ever say that word ever again," Jon grumbled to the boy

"We need to tell Mom and Dad," Kate stated to her brother in support

"No! No, okay? What is with you? It's like I kept your secret all last year, and now that I have one, do you want to put me on lockdown or something," Jon ranted in response

"That's not what this is about," Jordan stated with a sigh

"Okay, well, that's what it feels like, look, can you just give me this one? I finally feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be, I promise I've got everything under control, fraternals, right?" Jon questioned before walking off

"He's playing a dangerous game," Kate mumbled watching her walk off

"Hey, uh, how is Marcus holdin' up?" Jordan asked his sister

"You mean after the world's worst quinceañero? He isn't talking to me so I'm not sure, I'm just trying to give him space while letting him know that I am here for him when he needs it," Kate explained to the boy

"Sarah says he's taking it harder than her," Jordan added in support

"He looks up to his father, he even became a cadet so he can learn more from him so naturally it's harder for him," Kate guessed before heading to her class

It was the next night and Kate was standing off to the side with the other cheerleaders as the team was playing. Kate had walked over to her mother, aunt, and grandfather to get her water bottle as the boys were in the locker room for half-time.

"You got two football players and a cheerleader, huh?" Lucy questioned her sister

"Cheer was not my first choice," Kate responded to her aunt

"And what was?" Lucy asked with a smirk

"Painting was but Smallville seems to be a bit outdated with the art department," Kate joked with a chuckle

"Does Jon seem a bit tense out there?" Sam questioned his granddaughter

"I think it's just the pressure to win tonight," Kate suggested with a shrug

"All right. I'm out of popcorn, can I get anything for my girls?" Sam asked as he stood up

"I'll take a chili dog," Lucy stated in return

"Make that two, extra cheese," Lois stated to her father

"Come on, Dad, the dogs aren't gonna get themselves," Lucy spoke with a laugh

"I got it," Sam spoke before walking off

Kate said her goodbyes before heading back with the others and shortly after they had won the game, Kate and Jordan found out that Jon was using X-K to get powers and win games. They walked into the locker room where they saw Jon, they passed Candice before going to confront Jon.

"You're using X-K, aren't you?" Jordan asked in a tone

"Who cares?" Jon asked as he stood up

"We care seeing how you lied to us, we thought you were getting powers," Kate reminded with anger

"I am getting powers, just not the same way he is," Jon remarked to the blonde

"You need to stop," Kate warned the boy

"Why? What, can you not handle me finally getting what I deserve?" Jon questioned looking between them

"No, that's not what this is about," Jordan stated in defense

"It's always what it's about, Jordan so lay off," Jon threatened shining his heat vision

"You're not acting like yourself," Jordan commented in a calm manner

"This is the new me, so you better get used to it," Jon remarked before Kate stepped forward

"We're not gonna let you do this," Kate stated before Jon shoved her

"I said lay off!" Jon yelled at his siblings

"Boys! What the hell's going on?" Sam asked as he came in

"Nothing," Jon responded before walking out

Sam had helped Kate back up before they walked out to the parking lot so they could head home, Kate went up to her room to get into the shower to clean off the paint and makeup that was on her face. She heard Jon knocking on her door to say sorry but she just ignored him since she didn't want to talk to him anymore tonight.
